Legitimate electrolysis machines on eBay part 3

It isn’t bad (nice to get needles and some professional grade forceps too), but I would still try to negotiate a hundred or two off if you can.

Anyone know of any deals on ebay, etc? Complete newbie here, so I’m aiming for something in the $500-700 range to learn on. So far, I have found locally a Siltone Blend 128 for $520. Would that work or should I keep looking?

[color:#000099]Here’s a good machine! A Hinkel UC-3 currently at $207. This a a good electrolysis workhorse. Something tells me the bidding will go high for this unit. Just to mention to those unfamiliar, it’s “computerized”, but still alot less automatic than a newer Silhouet Tone or Apilus. I think presets and auto-insert delay type functions and features are really necessary for ongoing, quick clearing.

[color:#660000]As for the ST 128 the above poster mentioned for $520, I forgot what that machine can do. Maybe somebody can chime in here. If it works perfectly, which it probably does, because earlier model ST’s are near bulletproof, then $520 is an okay price. You could always resell it. I bought two machines better than that for about the same, or cheaper, but years ago. I get the impression there are more DIYer’s out there, so bidding lately has become more aggressive on any major brand machine. I feel uneasy about $520, more like $400 to $450 for a machine that old. If you have trouble parting with the $520, just remember, after seven or eight good, hour-long sessions you give yourself, it will have repaid itself, then, you can resell it if a better machine becomes available.

[color:#FF0000]…And it went for a mere $187 dollars, someone got lucky

The venerable (thermolysis only) Instantron SS-69 appears again, starting at $25.

I have an ST 128 that I am selling. It is in excellent condition! See more info under the ADVERTISING forum here.

YeeHaw! One of those deals just came up. This is what you wait for, and this thing is just sitting there waiting for good foster parents to come and rescue it.

A Hinkel UC-3 with a Buy it now of only $320 dollars! Not even a bidding war to deal with! I’m sure the only reason this machine is still unbought is because Texas Electrolysis Supply is probably distracted preparing some company barbeque right now. Lol! …If you stay at it, and check all the time, good machines come up for cheap prices. BTW, this machine does Flash thermolysis.

Hinkel UC-3 for $320 Buy it Now on ebay

Its Hinkel month on Ebay apparently. One could have collected them all
And now, the Hekel UC-1 for dirt cheap!

This machine is being sold without accessories, but you can buy those from Texas Electrolysis supply for an additional 75 to 100 dollars.

Anyone…I would like to find one or two slightly used Apilus… Hopefully the Platinum.

Hi Maria,

Have you contacted Jean-Louis at Dectro California? He might have some ideas for you. There are not many pre-owned Apilus Platinums or Pure for sale. I will post your request in the electrologist section as well.

[color:#993399]Here’s a Apilus Senior II that just came up. Opening low but with a reserve …I wonder how much. He has feedback for some high-dollar items so he may have set the reserve high. Anyway, this is only a six day listing so it might go cheap. Something tells me he’s not real versed in electrolysis; mispellings, DIY’d his own face? Not too much detail on what the machine can do, maybe selling it for somebody.

[color:#FF0000]Here’s a Silhouet Tone 128 that just came up. Four day listing, Buy It Now of $500. That’s a good fair price. This is a good bread and butter home DIY machine.

Hello Eveyone !! I’m a newbie here … could someone tell me where the Apilus Senior II ranks on the level of professional electrolysis machines? and just how easy it would be to operate it correctly?

That link is to a chart comparing the various Apilus machines manufactured by Dectro. It’s not their top-of-the-line Platinum, but it’s a VERY good machine, and what my electrologist uses.

Hey Guys. Just giving my Hairtell peeps the heads-up. I will be putting my machine on Ebay this weekend.
It’s a Hinkle UC-3. Does galvanic, blend, flash and slow thermo. I’m also including 150 probes of various sizes and my 6x surgical loupes. Both have original cases. The selling price will be $1000 USD with 50 USD shipping.
If anyone from here wants it just shoot me a message. I would rather one of you guys gave it a new home. J
