Today ( really red and bumpy)
Use your witch hazel, tea tree oil and aloe vera gel! You have heard us say this before. Keep your aftercare perfect. You are doing well.
Can you describe your aftercare regime?
What an amazing improvement! It helps me so much to see those wonderful results!!!
Dfahey , she puts Aloe Vera on me right after treatment, this time she put sunscreen ( zinc oxide) on my left side. It’s a 30-40 minute drive to her office so we wanted to protect my skin… I wash my face with lukewarm water at night, no harsh cleansers, then I apply tee trea oil.Usually wait exactly 24 hours before I take a shower , and I dont wash my hair a day after treatment I dont want the shampoo and conditionar to get into the pores . I don’t apply any acne treatment for 2 days on this area ( I suffer from acne, and use prescription cream called differin ). I recently bought witch hazel wipes , which I use during the day before work. I wear makeup 24 hours after my treatment . I use concealer on the treated area to conceal the redness, and little bit of blush to even out the skintone. Her aftercare instructions said to wait 48 hours before applying any makeup, but I’m so self-conscious about the redness I only wait 24 hours.
Vide1luv, I will definately post more pics to update on my situation, as I achieve permanent hair removal on my face and neck!
So today I had my 30 minutes appointment . worked on my sidebruns, and neck. I developed a few pimples from last time , even though i was very careful with the aftercare. My next appointment is the coming monday, and it’s for 45 minutes. will post pics later when the redness has gone down .
So yesterday I had another 45 minute treatment done, we worked on my sideburns, neck and chin. Today I used wicth hazel , and then I applied some concealer , and powder to cover up the redness from the treatment. I know I should wait 24 hours before I can apply makeup , but I’m at work and I dont want to hide my face. So my question is besides breakouts, and temporary skin irration[size:14pt],can any permanent skin damage happen if I apply makeup too soon after treatment??? [/size]
I will post pics of my face right after treatment, and all the skin care stuff I bought from texas electrolysis supply.

These look great! YAY!!! How beautiful and your skin looks clear and healthy!
I am so happy you are happy!!!
Thank you for sharing!
No, you will not get permanent skin damage if you apply makeup. If you really have to do this, make sure the makeup is fresh and new and you apply it with clean sponges AFTER you wash your hands. Hand washing is essential.
All I have to say about your pictures is PERF! (short for perfect!).

thanks for the reply Dfahey. I’m also having my stomach treated with electrolysis, for body work is it okey to have electrolysis daily till i can achieve full clearance? I’ve been going in for 4 one hour treatments my lower abs in the past month are looking good, but the upper part of my stomach is really hairy and im going to another electrologist for my stomach than my face, ive notice she slows down after 45 minute point and i was wondering if i can go like everyother day for 45 to 60 minute sessions.
You can have as many hours as you want in a short period of time as long as the area you’re treating at any given point has completely healed from previous treatment. The key is not to overtreat any one small dense area.
la girl usually when i go in for my stomach i still have scabs on my skin from the previous sessions? should i wait till they go away before another treatment?
I wouldn’t treat any spots close to the scabs.
today I had another 45 minute treatment done on my sideburns, neck and the surronding area. the skin looks red and I see alot of bumps but that is usually normal. This time she used lavender oil on my skin to see how that will help the healing. we also went sort of high on my left sideburn, the hair that i couldnt but behind back my ear was really thick and didnt look natural, I thought if get a clearance there the hair that grows back will be thinner, and less dense.
My next appointment is this coming monday for another 45 minutes. I hope my skin heals by then.
And I know this has been asked before but im 20 and will be developing new hair in the coming years, but what if im very aggressive with the treatments for another year or even longer? if my electrologist kills every follice would i still need touch ups in the future?

Left side ( a day after)
does this look like overtreatment???
Well… yes, it does. This doesn’t have to happen. Did a student work on your face? Tea tree oil will dissolve those pustules. USE ONLY A DAB OF TEA TREE OIL after you clean the area with witch hazel. THEN, PUT SOME COLD ALOE VERA GEL ON over the tea tree oil. If you use too much tea tree oil, your face will get red and stay red, so please don’t go over board. Use all three together and see what happens. Make sure you are not contaminating the ingredients inside the bottle or else you are just rubbing germs into those fresh open wounds.
Show your electrologist these pictures, so she can do something different next time. Have you ever had a reaction like this? Did the treatment hurt more than usual? Let this heal back to normal before getting more work done on this area.
As for your abdominal area, it is almost a given that you will scab. I personally do as much work as the client desires on the body and don’t wait for scabs to slough off. I would never do this for facial areas, though.
What is the name of the epilator being used on you, if I may so ask?

I have an appointment on monday, I guess I will tell her to work on my breasts and not the face. I’m guessing the reason why I broke out is because we’ve never worked on this area (cheeks) before, but the sideburns look good and dont look over treated , right?? This happend last time too when we worked on my chin for the first time…
She is very skilled, and a experienced electrologist , the best I’ve been too so far. The treatment isn’t painful, she uses an Apilus. But it’s kinda of hard not to overtreat an area, I mean I’m doing a 45 minute treatment every week, should I tone it down to 30 Minutes? I have alot of hair on my face!!! plus I’ve added the cheeks, chin, and breast as well.
Today I had another 45 minutes session, we didnt really work on left side because I wanted the skin to heal 100% before working on left side of my face. we worked sideburns, neck, chin and breasts today. Here’s a picture I took in the car right after my treatment.
