Electrolysis/permanent scars

Hi depilacionelectr,

Thanks for commenting on my pic.Yes may be it looks like acne scar and it has pigmentation around this. But this happened after my electrolysis treatment.I dont now that this will heal or not.Or it will become permanent here.I am very sad about my skin condition.

Thanks.

Jimmy

Hi Dee,

Thanks for your reply. She is using gold probe for treatment on ears and face.As I assume from your reply that there should be no scabs on ears and face either these or big ones or tiny scabs. On my one ear I also got little pigmentation problem.

I also think that she is over treating the ear area. But always I told her about scabs but she don’t comment on it and says don’t worry.SO it means this scabbing is normal for her.

I don’t know how to discuss this thing with her that there should be no scabs and tell her that scabs on facial areas are not normal.

And what you think as you know I had two treatments on ears and face and got scabs both times,it can create any problem for face and ears. And what about the cartiledge shrinking,it occurs suddenly after the treatment or after some months.

Thank you very much for answering.

Regards,

Jimmy

Jimmy, if I understand correctly, the lesions were acneic after the electrolysis.
Yes, this can happen when the area to be treated with electrolysis , injuries abound comedogenic.
The comedones are often degenerate into permanent scars unless they result in acne pimples.
The electrolysis precipitate this unpleasant effect. Therefore recommend that before you subject yourself to a session, you make sure that your skin is thoroughly cleansed of blackheads.
I see you have more recent scars that surrounded you in that red circle. We notice that are new for the reddish color showing is a sign that they are in the healing process and therefore improve considerably. I would use this cream that advises Toeman, containing retinoic acid (tretinoin).

Under no circumstances want to contradict a colleague in the preparation of Dee, but I have to disagree on some of the issues mentioned.

The crusting on the face or ear is often inevitable. This does not mean being conducted improperly.
Especially when it comes to hair as deep as you have.
Crusts appear does not mean there is danger of permanent disabilities.
I’ve worked hard in the cartilage and have never had problems with that area. It is possible that not doing so because it is obvious that this is an area of difficult insertion. But we presume that you are in good hands.

Hi depilacionelectr,

Thanks for good infomation.I don’t understand this statement “The comedones are often degenerate into permanent scars unless they result in acne pimples” that if we get pimples then we are safe from scars. And this mean you can say my skin reaction the scaring so if this is scaring then why this occured suddenly after the treatment as people say they occur after 6 months.

I got really confused because I had some acne scars and open pores on my cheeks because of acne.So now I don’t know if there are some new ones that are generated from electrolysis.I know about this reaction because it was reddish due to treatment and I know there was no scar at this place before. And on the other treatment places I got pin point scabs that fall away in 10 days.

And if there is problem on treating on this cheek area that have open pores before and some acne lesions.

Now the red circled place in the picture is brown in color not reddish.I am using tea tree oil on this place.

Thank you very much for answering.

Jimmy

You are reason Jimmy, I feel the mistake of translation, what I have wanted to say before is that the black points do not leave permanent scars.
Only if they degenerate into grains scars stay.

omg!!! please give me advice!!! what should i do?? i’m starting to have some new indentations!!! and i’m sure that they are NEW!!! they are very little at the moment but they are here…please explain what is happening to me??? :frowning:
is this gonna be permanent scars??i’ve read that scars may appeare even 6 months after treatment and tommorow will be 7 months from that mine treatment…i’ve read that scars from electrolysis are very difficult or even unpossible to remove…is this true??

Are you seeing a dermatologist, ivmi?

Hi Guys,

I want to ask one thing.Where there was insertions on the face there are light brown spots right now.I don’t know what is that.

Can you give me a advice for that.

And Dee about the acenic scar that you saw in the pic is brown now in color and may be healing. But I dont know it will heal completey or not.

Thanks.

Jimmy

You may be experiencing hyperpigmentation that will usually fade in several weeks to several months? I don’t know what your healing powers are?? Again, most spots need time to fade and most minor skin manifestations do heal. I can’t be more specific than that because we all have different healing powers, diets, exposure to sun, some smoke and some don’t. So many variables make predictions of how long it will take impossible, that’s why we can only speak in generalities with a good measure of assurance that most skin reactions resolve with time.

well Ive been seeing dermatologist but he didn’t know anything about those pitshe never saw that kind of injury…what do you think guys?? i don’t know what to do anymore…im scared that it will be only worse and worse…and i’m afraid that it will be more and more visible vith my ages…ive been reading that those scars from electrolysis are very difficult or even impossible to remove…and it really scares me… :frowning:

Hi guys,

I need a suggestion from you.I posted my pic before where I got reaction by electrolysis. Now at that point I am getting more pigment there and this is looking more deep than before and not getting better it seems looking worse.

So I want to ask you guys whats going on have you any idea or how this can get better?

And one thing one to ask Dee,As Dee always say when you get over treated by an electrolysis so find a good electrolysis. So this is always difficult to find a good person to treat you.You are always on risk in trying different electrologist.Because you can get scars even after a one wrong treatment and your life can be messed up by always thinking why I did that. Why Dee this is so confusing and painful.

Thanks.

Jimmy

Ivmi please give bio-oil a try…It works wonders for your kind of scars…(I know)

Maybe it’s time to submit another picture. I will do my best to comment if it is a quality photo.

If this is so difficult for you and you are not sure who you can trust, you can choose to do nothing. Hair removal is not a precise, consistent business because there are too many variables involved. I know what I can do with my epilator, vision wear, and lighting. I know how to choose the proper probe for an individual’s situation. I know how to adjust energy and timing levels for the situation at hand. I know that TEMPORARY skin side effects are the norm and that scarring is rare. I can see if a follicle is overtreated and correct the energy and timing immediately. There is more that goes into this difficult task to kill hair, but I think you get the idea of where I am going here.

There are many, many electrologists that are at the top of their game and do a great job serving their clients. If there are none that live near you, then don’t do this. If it makes you crazy, then dump the idea of having electrolysis.

Dee

toeman i believe you but i read everything on that page that you post a link of, and they don’t diliver to my country :frowning: i dont know what to do…i think that if it is really true that mine pits may disappear in time (12-18 months) it should be resolving faster cause when I look at them…i can’t really see a big difference only that brown collor has gone…but pitting is here (most likely same as it was)
so I really believe you toeman but i can’t buy bio oil…I’m from croatia and they only diliver in few countries in europe…

IVMI try sites like ebay or amazon…They ship to your country…
Many times stuff doesn’t come to my country (Holland) but through ebay or amazon I get it…
It is possible…It would speed up your healing process significantly!

Bio-Oil is Preservative Free
Bio-Oil contains no preservatives. Microbes (bacteria, fungi and moulds) require the presence of water (or water vapour) and, in most cases, oxygen, to survive and proliferate.

Bio-Oil is anhydrous (no water present) making preservatives unnecessary as it is very difficult, if not impossible, for microbes to develop in this environment.

ok thank you I’ll try to find it…
im going to one dermatologist and she is doing cryotherapy on those pits…does anyone know if this could help with electrolysis pitting…i find out that i have dermis or subcutis atrophy…and epidermis is not damaged…

i wanted to ask one more question - is it possible that lasting pitting( like mine - 8 months) may heal tottaly? i mean like when you look at it (after year or two) from really close - that you can’t tell that the person ever had any kind of problem with skin?.. it didn’t just become “undetectable”… i’m just curious…i know that (if it is possible) it may not happend to me as well…i just want to ask if you ever saw badly pitting healed ‘really’ tottaly…?

Hey ivmi. I have some pitting on my forehead from a really bad electrologist who ruined my hairline. It’s been two years and there has been definite improvement in the pitting. I use bio-oil (which has vitamin E)and a moisturizer that contains vitamin C (It’s called natures blend and you can buy it at a kaiser pharmacy) and I rub it in twice a day. Sunscreen also helps. I would look into microdermabrasion and there are also some laser treatments that will improve the situation. Collagen injections can definitely improve sunken scars and pits but it is temporary and you have to keep going back when effects wear off. I would definitely find a good laser clinic and see what can be done. But at least give it a whole year first. Wait I just realized that Dee already suggested Bio-oil. Anyhow if it has only been 8 months I would not worry too much as the skin takes time to heal.
