I’ll remember that for next time. Thanks James!
No I did not! This was my first time using ebay- the last seconds of a bid war are not good for the heart, as I have newly learned. lol.
Btw, that machine went for 405. Was that a good deal?
Probably could have been bought for less, but for an eBay auction it would have been a good deal. Keep trying!
$405 for a UC-3 is a highway robbery steal of a deal. There is no way that machine should go for less than $500. In fact, I would say that $1,000 for that machine is still a deal.
Oh
Better than a Senior II, Can be upgraded to be equal to an SX-500, let’s show some love for the Apilus SM-500
A beautiful Fischer CB-X Computblend
I wonder why when I type Electrolysis Epilator in the main Ebay search box, the result does not show this epilator?
I have found that one needs to simply type “Electrolysis” in an weed through all the ads. Still one misses things this way, and must also search under company names as well.
Somebody got a great deal! No wonder it was very difficult to find the item in the search box!
If you bid fast, you can get a great deal here:
Apilus SX-500 totally guaranteed to be in perfect working order.
Gone! But if I remember right I saw an apilus senior for 900$.
I did, starting bid is 900$, there’s also a buy it now option for the impatient.
I tried to bid on that Senior II at the last second. I lost.

Are you bidding in advance of the close of the bid?
Here is information on how to win an ebay bid, I have used this technique many times and won.
I tried to bid in the last 10 seconds, which is my normal eBay strategy. Most of the time it works, but if someone is willing to pay more than your maximum bid (which should be what you are really willing to pay) then you are not going to win in any case.
So this not on eBay, but a person (via craigslist) in my area has a Hinkel CB-2 for $300, no foot-switch or leads.
They said they contacted Hinkel and it was made in the late 80’s. The machine works at least in terms of turning on. Is the machine too old to even consider?
I just want to do at-home galvanic on body areas to be clear without any of the hassle of modifying a One Touch into a suitable device with a professional probe-holder and foot-switch.
I considered contacting the person and arranging for this to be tested by Hinkel before I bought it. What do people think?
Go for it!
You can still get parts from Hinkel and from Texas Electrolysis Supply. Even if it needed work (and it probably doesn’t) it would only cost shipping and about $100 or less to fix.
Fischer SE-4 Blend Machine has a buy it now price of $425 with free shipping.

Hi everyone, recently I’ve been thinking about purchasing a new electrolysis machine (to work on myself at home), Apilus preferably, as I’ve read so many good things about it, there’s one on ebay at the moment, Apilus sm-500, but as it’s not mention in this thread, I was a bit uncertain if it’s worth buying from this seller or not,
I don’t want to be spending so much and regretting it! If anyone can give me a few tips and advice about this, that’ll be great, here’s the link:
At the moment I’ve got a Sterex sxb, and by the looks of how much hair I have, I’ll be electrolysing forever almost!
This one ebay seems like a good price…
I was originally going for a Cleo Flash, which I heard is better for beginner home users…If someone could also advice me, whether or not this sm-500 will be too complicated to use, as It would be my first ‘digital’ one (if indeed I get it), that would be great…
Also, as I’m in the UK, are spare parts, such as needle holders etc., hard to get hold of?
