It’s with great disappointment that I mst say I am leaving hairtell at this time. I will no longer be posting here. The reason has nothing to do with the fantastic consumers or electrologists who post here, it is because work of mine, Josepha’s and Michaels have been illegally posted elsewhere in an attempt to defame myself and Jospha , by a poster whose mental deficiencies lead them to launch an all out attack on Josepha. This stolen material is still being used in this way.
Through the process a Digital Copyright Millenium Act challenge to these stolen posts from here has been launched, unfortunately the host Wordpress is refusing to remove this defamatory and stolen material.As a result I am filing multiple legal challenges, copyright claims, a defamation suit against wordpress and the person who created the page, and criminal charged for transgender hate speach, and civil proceedings for defamation. I’m of the opinion that similar legal challenges are likely to be filed by at least 2 other major contributors here.

In my own case, this material also included transgender hate speach, something I am now following up on formal criminal charges for.

Although unfortunate, this has pointed out that there is no legal protection for material produced here when it is stolen and misused in an effort to defame the posters here.

I wish all here well, but I am not going to continue to have the writings I create here used to defame myself and others. IT is with great sadness, that I am finally withdrawing from hairtelll permanently.
I wish all here well with their hair removal, and the best in the future.

This is sad to hear as you have been very helpful for many people on this website and you have provided (as well as others) a great resource of information for electrolysis. But, you must do what you must do. And I hope everything works out in the end.

Though let me just say, anyone reading that blog would make out how crazy this person is. There is no logic in any of her writings and she has no respect for anyone and seems to have a victim complex. This is someone who needs to get herself checked into a mental hospital.

Michael I’ll contact you privately, as I was doing in the last 2 days. Suffice it tis refusing to honour the DMCA takedown request we were discussing this weekend, claiming “Fair use” . I’ll forward you the response I recieved from them.

I’m sorry greek I cannot comment further. While I believe you are correct, I dont want to compromise legal proceedings. This is all about to get very messy.Because of the legal aspects, I’m quite certain hairtell management will want to keep the discussion out of public view.

Well, reading thru the lines on this “blog” (Dee sent me the link) … people reading shit on the internet can easily spot, well, shit. After a couple seconds reading thru this mess, anybody will see that this person has nothing of any substance to complain about … and is only “going off” for reasons that nobody will ever understand.

In my own City, I’ve been ‘attacked’ several time like this and, while it bothers me, everybody reading the trash knows that the basis of all this is nonsense.

I’m pissed that the woman used me as being “supportive of her” when I’m not at all.

It’s simple and clear: The woman had the best treatment and was “over the top” worried about NORMAL post-treatment manifestations. Hairtell didn’t answer her questions immediately and eventually I answered without any “drama.” She had NOTHING to complain about.

I have also had clients go to Hairtell and “go off” on me. So far they all forgot about it and moved on. Sadly, too many people don’t realize how fortunate they are … and focus on nothing and continue to intentionally hurt others … all for no reason, other than their own psychology. AGREE 100% WITH WHAT “GREEK” HAS STATED.

There are now billions of internet messages and blogs … few people take this seriously. Such postings ONLY make the person putting this all together appear to be a mental case.

I would, Seana, go after her obnoxious statements about you. No place for such comments and such comments alone will “sink” her stupid “blog.” These comments made me sick.

How about this? NOW, if this woman wants to QUOTE ME in her blog … go for it and put THIS in your blog.

There is a point however ludicrous this material is Michael, that one must make a stand. Wordpress has the legal capacity and cause to remove this material, but are refusing due to “free speach” . There is no doubt the copyright of those postings belong to yourself, myself, and Josepha.There is no question of fair use.
There are parts of this blog which represent transgender hate speach. This is a protected class in Canada and in the US ( thanks obama!) .While free speach is valid, it does not protect the poster from copyright infringement, nor liability from defamation , nor criminal prosecution for violating community standards . By refusing to remove this content, Wordpress is complicit in it’s publishing and must be held legally and financially accountable for that otherwise they will continue to allow their platform to be host to more defamation and more hate speach. I am of the opinion, that the only way this webhost will enforce community standards, is if they are proceeded against legally . So that’s what I am doing.On every legal forefront available. I’ve worked too long and too hard establishing protections for transpeople, to sit and take this without objection.

I also dont know about you, but I have lost business due to this blog post. I’m not going to continue to allow it to go on.

Dear Seana,

It is sad to know that anonymous person on the internet can attack, write defamation, abusive and transphobic content without any way the victims can defend themselves. Can “free speach” allows unfair and abuse content ?

I also sent a reclamation to Google for abusive and diffamation content, but I didin’t receive a response so far.

I feel sorry about what is happening, I am sorry you left Hairtell. You are a great contributor.
I wish you will win against this injustice.

I read thru all the nonsense and let me tell you what I think … and some advice for ALL of you on any website:

  1. The person with the “idiot blog” is now fully satisfied and happy that we are all making a fuss about this. Indeed, that was her ONLY goal. And, now the goal has been achieved. Don’t feed the TROLL! She ONLY wants attention.

  2. Any person with an IQ more than 70 can see how silly and unimportant her “blog” is.

  3. That nobody can post to her “blog” speaks to her single desire to only cause pain. She knows that her stupidity would be refuted in half-a-second; I tried.

  4. Josefa is a MEGA-STAR of electrology and, were I Josie or Seana, none of this would upset me more than, say, an hour or so.

  5. What this person has stated in her “blog” can, in no way, damage any of us in any way. It’s just stupid prattle.

I will have my attorney look-over this “crap” … but, usually, if you cannot show “loss of income” it’s pretty hard to get a monetary judgement.

On the “transgender” statements? Here’s what I did. The place that cuts my hair (20 years) said some horrible things about Transgender people (the whole religious nonsense). I told everyone in the place that I am transgender: born a girl and transitioned years ago. They bought my story, I kicked their ass and have never taken back my story. They seemed to have changed there mind. But with bigots, you never really know.

Mike, you make some good points. I didn’t even know this blog existed until Seana brought it up.

This internet stuff is hard to prosecute. Too bad. You have to have an income of a movie star to pursue and even then, that may not be enough.

I had something similar happen to me several years ago here on Hairtell. I didn’t lose any sleep, well maybe one night. Some poster said crap about me on YELP and I never even saw this person. She lived in California and of course, I am in Ohio. Yes, she was a certified nut ball. Another time , I was in the line of fire from someone in Arizona. I was one inch away from hiring an attorney to do an asset assessment because I was raring to sue big time. Something else happened and I didn’t need to do anything.

My condolences to anybody going through this. Be strong.

I read this blog. There are some lessons to be learned.
We have been reminded of these lessons before.
When someone is seeking help from the distress caused by unwanted hair, suggest that they first seek the help of those who are conveniently located. The idea of people traveling to other countries for treatment when there are practitioners in their own is disturbing. To even suggest that the best electrologist resides in Spain or California or Ohio or New York is disturbing. The expectations will be very high and no one is perfect.

Seana and to all other pros of Hairtell, I hope that random blogs with zero influence on your careers do not intimidate or force you into hiding and from participating in public forums and helping other consumers with advice and education. We live in times where any person has access to create a blog and post something negative about other people. Businesses are exposed to negative reviews on Yelp; clients attack providers with scathing accusations etc. I highly doubt this person’s blog has any influence or ability to damage your reputations or careers. It’s a blog full of silly ad hominems and any intelligent person can see through the nonsense. Don’t let this disgruntled, obscure blogger disrupt the ONLY community on the web that helps people suffering with unwanted hair problems. Your participation is needed and I’m sure many are grateful for your contributions.

I am in total agreement with the above and when people request appointments, I do everything I can to discourage them from coming to me. (Mike Bono can raise his hand and testify to that.) The expense and effort to not stay local is burdensome and people may eventually give up. However, there are not always electrologists to see in peoples home towns and they have to travel anyway.

As far as expectations go, stay humble and honest, develop a rapport with the client and you won’t get into trouble - unless of course, the person is a certified nut ball.

I just want to add that Josefa did discourage people from trying to book an appointment with her and said as much in her signature. She never behaved as if she was the best. Her only “crime” was she shared her strategies, with her excellent pictures and video’s and gave us all excitement and courage. Does anyone know how many hours it takes to organize pictures and do video’s?!

Indeed, il is a shame that consumidors decided to travel for removing unwanted hair. Some of them could find local practicionners, but why consumidors decide to travel for a hair removal treatment ? would you ask. Well, let me tell you an example.

In France, only physicians are allowed to do electrolysis hair removal. Of course, French citizens can find them on the internet (but they should travel to Paris and no every people live in the capital…).

However, there is no electrolysis hair removal practices in medical universities. There is no way you can learn electrology in France. No school, no academies, “non, rien de rien…”. So as you could expect, the big majority of these “specialists” struggles to achieve good results (we already talk about this issue on the forum).

Other “detail” : the majority of them charge 200€ per hour (some of them charge much more". Is it economically accessible ? Or does it worth it if for this price, the practicionner is not able to gatantee you the final results ?

This is why, some French citizens, as well as I did, decide to travel to Spain in order to permanently get rid of unwanted hair.

Spain may not be the best destination, but the most results of electrolysis were shown in this country.

If people travel to California or Spain, is because consumidors can find tons of evidences of good results on the internet. I wish others practionners in the world could do the same in order to help all people who need the treatment.

Let me be strait up folks.

I dont think theres a snowballs chance in hell of anyone taking this blog seriously. I’m not scared away from posting because of this lunatics words .

I have seen the attacked party deeply hurt and affected by this issue. For over a year my words and those of others here have been used to somehow “support” this womans allegations. Direct screenshots of posts long since removed by the forum management (at my request) have been allowed to be displayed openly on a wordpress site in their entirety. And there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING thAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT. The host, Wordpress is not honouring their stated terms of service and community guidelines, and is refusing to honour the DCMA request to have this material, which holds the copyrighted material of MULTIPLE POSTERS from here, myself included removed.As long as there are dishonest webhosts such as wordpress, there is absolutely no action when your material is stolen from one place and used to attack a colleague . And there still remains nothing to prevent this from occurring in the future.

To proceed with the copyright infringement case I would need to pay a retainer of nearly 20000 dollars, and I’m advised that the total legal bill could reach into the MILLIONS of dollars. Additionally as the material in its stolen form is from hairtell, this site and Andreas marketing company would be literally bankrupted by their own legal bills, just to respond to the supeonas. This is not an option.

And more importantly, there is nothing to prevent exactly these events from occurring again. Any time I or another electrologist ( gosh I can say that now) respond to a consumers post or question, we unknowingly are giving the use of every word to be replicated anywhere without any recourse even when they are twisted and used in a manner other than intended.

I used to be an extreme supporter of the free flow of information regarding electrolysis. I still think that it’s the best way for new people to learn ( and we seem to have several doing exactly that recently) . I’m much less a fan of that free flow of information when it comes to it being misappropriated and used to attack yourself and other colleagues.

I’m going to continue to do what I have always done on HairTell - try to answer questions to the best of my ability, with honesty and kindness (well, I haven’t always been kind, but I try to self-correct).

Funny, it seems to me that I had the same thing happen to us right here on Hairtell a while back. I had a DIY’er purchase a used machine that came with some of our IBP’s that were obviously 20+ years old that came in the old unsterilized packaging with again, an obviously questionable chain of custody. Well she managed to hurt herself and then proceeded to come up here in the professional forum with an unhinged rant about how bad the oldest insulated electrolysis probe on the planet was so bad and how she’d never go near them again. I just considered the source and went on with life. I did consider legal action but this person literally didn’t have two nickels to rub together and one cannot get blood from a turnip. I merely had the lawyers put the whole thing away in a file for possible future use. We were here long before she got here and we’ll be here when she’s gone. Of course I can also say that without reservation to any manufacturer in this business except Instantron.
