Leaving due to legal ramifications

I’m one of the somewhat targeted "clients from afar practitioners.’ (Yes, I understand innuendo!) I have had clients from as far away as Norway, England and Australia. However, I’m very careful in "vetting’ all clients. I mean, I select clients that will specifically do absolutely well, based upon a number of independent factors. And because of this selective process I guarantee results.

I keep very accurate records, and once I establish a base-line, the client knows what the job is going to cost. Very few electrologists will look at a job and give the patient any actual estimate. And YES you can produce real estimates based on a number of objective factors.

Most of my "distant clients’ have already seen numerous practitioners in their area and "it didn’t work.’ Most have spent between $2,000 and $4,000 on worthless treatments. Indeed, many electrologists specialize in facial cases and would usually say "no’ to the types of cases I do on a regular basis (in fact the only cases I do).

Indeed, before I accept any client, I have them fully exhaust their local possibilities. So this notion that Josefa, Dee and others are egotistical and therefore denigrate others in the field is utter nonsense. Indeed, my entire career has been based on helping others in the field … NOT puffing my own ego. And, I’m the first to admit my many shortcomings.

I also speak from experience as a patient. I had at least four electrologists work on my back for about 5-years (with zero results) until I discovered June Brennan in Seal Beach … and she "nailed it!’

I’m not in the business to "disturb’ other electrologists. I’m not pontificating about anything. For me it’s only the data: and I have tons of data if anybody cares to take an objective look.

Almost nobody in our field puts their ACTUAL data and photographs on-line for everybody to see and “bitch about.” So, stop with the kvetching and start with the “show me.” Josefa does it. Dee Dee does it and … so do I!

I think people have the FREEEDOM to explore who they might want to hire for a service. Period.

Madonna Mia Dee … are we on the same wavelength or what?

I think we are?

I’m not on Hairtell to promote myself. I have a ton of local business. I think Josefa…in fact I KNOW Josefa, was not a part of this community for anything other than to open her big heart to share her expertise with consumers and her electrolysis colleagues. Other electrologists that have contributed here are certainly not here because they need work. We are all really busy. It is not the fault of those electrologists that contribute freely here (and often), for no pay, if the consumer pursues an appointment with them, for whatever reasons???

I do agree with Arlene that there is a lot of good local talent, depending on where you live on this earth, and one should try out the local talent first. Trouble is, many electrologists don’t offer huge blocks of time. When someone needs more than a 15 - 60 minutes appointment, they are not going to get airfare and a hotel room to travel for a 60 minute appointment, they want a ton of work and you better deliver.

I’m getting less inclined to offer more than 3-5 hours a day for my out-of-town people. Sitting too long, doing microsurgery on hair follicles is a killer.
So, I’m starting to set limits.

I don’t know Rosedust. People label her as crazy. She is definitely pissed off after reading that blog. Thing is, it is between the two parties that were together at the time. It is so sad that this has happened and I make no judgement on either party. I do know Josefa and my respect and admiration is unwaviering for her. Rosedust’s blog did not change and could not change my feelings about Josefa.

Seana, if you stop contributing here, especially if you like contributing here and you run away, then rosedust has scored a big point.

I respect your opinion but if I may say, I disagree on one thing. While impartialness is a correct way of handling things in events like this, both parties should atleast present their cases in a proper civilized way in order to get the benefit of the doubt.(some years ago here there was another client who had many things to say about an electrolygist. While negative in general, the practitioner was not attacked personally in a psychotic manner that even went after relatives like this current instance)

Anybody can express grievances but there is a limit to this. When I first saw this ‘blog’(and I haven’t read the whole thing) I was blown away by the apparent mental imbalance on display. Actually the more I gave it a chance, the more self-discrediting it got. Like Michael Bono said earlier, this cannot be taken seriously or given any stake at all. If at the very least she didn’t attack relatives this would be a different story but again, nothing was held back. I don’t see this as people labeling her crazy. It’s more like she scoured the earth to find that label and stuck it on her own head.

Meanwhile Josefa’s response is the opposite as she refuses to stoop down to that level, even though she could easily tackle these lies. Again with all due respect this is one case where impartialness cannot work in the accuser’s benefit.

Dee I have had Josepha whispering pretty much those exact sentiments all day!
And you are both correct. I also know that in the end, I wont ever be able to stop helping folks out around here. Hairtell does grow on you, like a mould!I’m pretty super uncomfortable with posting however, well I already expressed my fears on what might happen.

As to clients travelling to see me, well I still do this (in fact I have a client coming in for monday and tuesday from scarborough) . Some excellent reasons have been presented here as to why people do this , but I’ll kick in the reason THIS client is coming, she came to find about me from some random youtube comments I made on an electrolysis video and has had absolutely HORRIBLE experiences in her local market, and I helped her out with some answers and she was comfortable with me after that. I call these types of clients “parachute clients” its kinda a play on the term “helicopter parent” with the added twist that often, we are rescuing said client from some really bad treatments. Here’s your parachute!
Arlene is absolutely correct however that setting expectations, is a big part of taking long distance clients. If you are set up on a pedestal, then you will have a hard time living up to their expectations. And now I have to add, vetting the crazies to the to-do list before taking on a client.

I found that “blog” and it is clearly the ravings of a seriously disturbed person. Also, it hasn’t been updated in months. I assure you that nobody coming across it will take seriously anything they read. I would try and forget about it and move on. Unfortunately, there is little one can do when dealing with mentally unbalanced people online.
