Laser hair stimulation

Update had my one hour session yesterday and half session today two more sessions next week as I am travelling away next Friday, can’t be seen with hair on my face haha, well after yesterday another confidence boost she managed to clear pretty much all the hair without resistance, we switched to thermolysis as I needed something faster before going away and we have made an agreement to switch to blend after I’m back!! Even though this is the beginning of my process my hair obsession is slowly dying down. Only concern is that I have quite a lot of red spots on my cheek and neck that look abit like acne is that normal hope they go away

My graduation is in the summer June and my wedding in September, my electrolysis did reassure me this all be under control by then that’s if I stick to my weekly routine which is going to be so darn hard with work placement during weekday and weekend part time work, and travelling there and back ( right need to stop with the moaning) anyways trying to be optimistic as I am happy with the process so far hehe

Awesome updates! Yes the appearance like acne is normal. On the plus side, if anyone ever asks you about it, you can just tell them you are having a breakout or something and they won’t question it.

Haha true, also my skin is slightly risen and swollen from yesterday’s 1 hour treatment is that normal to :-)???

Just wanted to add this site has been great, supportive and very informative! Can’t praise you guys enough

Yeah the skin being a bit swollen is normal from my experience and what I have read.

http://s1172.photobucket.com/user/Izraaaa/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsekapyxqu.png.html nearly one month into the process! Just the pinpoint scabs that are annoying can’t really see in the pic

Funny thought i would share this called up the laser clinic to complain today where I recieved my laser from hoping to get my money back and raise this issue with them haha she goes come back we can fix the problem for you and it’s not our fault that you have developed hair growth it’s your hormones! When Iv been tested clear from any hormonal issues! She goes You’re 1 out of the 1000 clients we treat that have come across this problem! Damn she pissed me off! She said she will be refunding half of my money, still nothing in comparison to the damage it has caused to my face

Just to add so far the long black coarse hair treated have not come back from the 12/01/16 sometimes Iv mistaken some regrowth of hairs thinking that it’s a bit of stubble when it’s actually little pinpoint scabs that’s after looking into the mirror closely which I have a habit of doing now! Any ways it’s early days lets see what happens

Sorry that you’ve had to go through all of this.

On the bright side a refund of half is not that bad. I agree it’s nothing in comparison to the damage they caused in the first place but I can imagine that most places would probably refuse to refund anything at all (or they just insist on giving you more free treatments instead).

Can I ask…with this stimulation from the laser hair removal? Did it only occur in areas with the fine/blonde/vellous hair? I am starting laser…and this scares me. I am only doing upper lip and two spot on the chin, no areas that have the fine vellous hairs “untouched hairs”, like the sides of my face, etc.

With me the hair stimulation occurred on the area I was having the laser treatment, I didn’t notice until after about 3 Lazer treatments, I don’t know if it stimulated the finer hair that I have and I have a lot of fine hair!.. it was extra growth of coarse hairs that I noticed.

If you’re doing such a small area, why not just do electrolysis instead? It won’t take that long

Honestly take my advice don’t touch these areas with laser, as I have had laser done in the same places, my upper lip colour has gone a different colour kinda darker and also the hair came back, and if your touching your chin hair it’s a big no no it will only come back with more hairs added to that and then at the end you will end up getting electrolysis to get rid of hairs you never had, it will turn the little vellus hairs near your chin in to terminal hairs, consider yourself lucky getting advice from this site and doing research wish I did that

 I can’t turn back the clocks just trying to remain positive, never knew until experiencing this how facial hair problem can impact ones confidence, social life, relationships and work life :frowning: defiantly given me an insight and has educated me on so many levels  however my only hope is in electrolysis in fixing my problem waiting patiently it’s hard not being able to touch the hairs, as I want my process as effective as possible.

I started off with electrolysis, but my skin is very sensitive and cannot handle it very well. The electrolygist suggested laser for the darker hair and electrolysis every two or three weeks as my skin can tolerate for the thicker blonde hairs.

I’m just really concerned, I did one laser treatment already…

Oh my…what color is your skin type? Pale, olive? I am so sorry this happened to you :frowning:

Yikes. Yikes. Yikes. EXACTLY my fear.

While I suppose that’s possible, I would advise you to see multiple electrologists. You’d be surprised how different one’s treatment is from the next one.

Yeah, I agree. If you have only seen only electrologist so far, I highly recommend that you check out 1-2 more. You might easily find that someone else is less painful.

After comparing 3 people, I found an excellent electrologist and her treatments are less painful AND more effective.
