Laser hair stimulation

Hello guys desperately need your help and advice!!! I’m actually kicking myself for getting laser hair removal on my face didn’t research the topic well enough and jumped straight into due to the term permanent being was used by the lying therapist I intially went for my side burns, she ended up zapping all of my face and neck :-(!!! Iv currently gone to three consultations!!! And have gone ahead with an electrologist based from my experience from the consultations! Last time I had laser was in October and have all the fine hairs grow back!!! I have a wedding and graduation coming up this June I feel so depressed with this facial hair that never had :frowning: !!! Im trying to attach a pic of my hair situation !! How long do you think I will reach the finish mark and what method would be ideal for my skin and hair! I have currently had one session done with the blend!! It seems so long the process as she only worked on the obvious hairs!!! Im actually falling into depression mode and feel socially isolated!!! My confidence levels have dropped !!! I am so glad for this site!!! It’s kinda giving me hope that there is some light at the end of the tunnel !!! Please someone reply

Iv managed to add a pic !!! Desperately need some genuine advice and help!!! Sick of being scammed

Well your link doesn’t work so that would be a good place to start

The link worked for me if I did a copy/paste…

What I see, is a lot of fine, dark, long hairs underneath the chin and on the neck.

I wouldn’t recommend laser for this at all… if you came into my office, I would recommend flash thermolysis (quick blend will work too, but I think it’s overkill for this). Without seeing it first hand, I’d estimate that it would probably take between 1-2 hours to clear it for the first time.

As for what happens after that, it’s hard to say. It’s only been a couple months since your last laser treatment and I’ve seen people with laser growth coming back as long as 5 years after they had laser, so there can’t be much certainty that anyone can say “it’s going to take 12-18 months to finish it up” like we can with someone that didn’t have laser first.

What CAN be said with certainty, is that electrolysis can solve your problem.

I know how you feel Izraaa, I’ve been there, I did laser, didn’t work for me either, felt suicidal and no confidence… It’s awful! I had electrolysis, it took time to see results but keep at it, it’s expensive but worth it in the end.

The women Iv been going to goes to she can get me cleared in 9-12 months, I want a first clearance so bad but that seems so impossible at this rate because the method is darn slow!!! So atleast I can go out without having my hair down and wearing a scarf round my neck. Would you recommend the blend as it has higher chance of killing the hair and plus I have sensitive skin?

Hey hairy Harry, you know the struggle it’s like if I had hair there in the first place it would of been a different story. How long have u had electrolysis for and is your skin still the same after the treatments??

The blend method is effective but it is not necessarily better than faster methods in the hands of a skilled electrologist. The key thing to look for, regardless of method they are using is to make sure that the hairs release cleanly and that the electrologist is not tweezing at all. My current electrologist primarily uses Pico Flash on me (a type of thermolysis) which is very fast. With proper insertions, she is getting a clean release everytime and NEVER tweezes.

IMO, I would look around and find someone effective and faster. I should add that some people like Mike Bono are able to do a much faster version of blend. Time equals money. However, if this is your only/best option, then it is what it is.

Thanks I’m seeing my electrologist tomorrow, will pay attention to the release, , tbh I did feel slight tugs, will mention it to her, haha i don’t how to bring it up. By the way has she used this method on your face and has it been effective if so?

“I should add that some people like Mike Bono are able to do a much faster version of blend.”

Thanks for the statement, but it’s just not true … at all. Hinkel-trained electrologists work just like me. It’s just that our way of working has become forgotten, mangled and “put out to lunch” … ready for re-discovery.

Here’s the deal … what I’ve been showing on my channel doesn’t fit with what people have assumed (or taught) about “what we are doing.” Therefore, it must be something very different.

It’s a rationalization.

Michael iv been reading your posts and watching your YouTube videos which has been very helpful and reassuring, wish there was electrologists like yourself in the UK!!! Iv had the blend done for half an hour on my face approx 2 week ago, but I can feel a few stubble hairs growing back, which is giving me doubt the work of my electrogists so far! I feel so down

If you are feeling tugs, then it is an indication that your electrologist isn’t as effective as they could/should be so try to pay close attention next time. This is generally due to poor technique (likely poor insertion or maybe not enough power/time). If they are not being effective then it’s going to mean a lower kill rate and they will need to treat those hairs again later. So, pay attention to how often you feel it and bring it up next time you feel that sensation.

For reference - I tried 3 different electrologists. The first was very obviously tweezing to the point that the tweezing itself hurt. The second was a lot better but a lot of hairs I could still feel resistance when she pulled them out. The 3rd definitely knows what she is doing. I really don’t feel any sensation of the hair being removed at all. She occasionally lightly “tests” tricky hairs to see if they have released but other than that, you should not feel anything. A good electrologist should never really require any effort to remove a hair that has been treated properly. She emphasized to me during the consultation that she will never tweeze a hair.

If it keeps going on or you are feeling a significant amount of hairs being tugged then honestly you may need to look for another electrologist. At the very least, if there are other options near you, see if you can have sample treatments with a couple others to give you a better idea of what you can expect.

Oh, also, as a consumer I found that reading Mike’s book “Guide to the Blend Method” insightful because it gave me background information on how the process should work. You can find it here (scroll down to where you see the download links). The other books for download are good too.

Thank you much for your time and effort in replying, I have an appointment tomorrow and I shall see how it goes and keep this thread updated with my experiences, as I know there are many people going through a similar situation x

Thanks for your kind remarks Izraa. I’m just “laying the foundation” which will be ALL about the client and FOR the client. After I get up about 25 videos, I will launch the website that will organize all this junk: items for clients, electrologists (for their own clients … and some useful tips too, and not just from me … I hope!).

Years ago, we had a wonderful periodical called “Hair Route.” This magazine keep all of us fairly well informed about everything in the field. They stopped … Now, we are ALL blind about almost everything that’s going on. In a year’s time, the website will become an on-line magazine … There are some wonderful formats for this and we are just now looking into it.

None of this will be specific to any school, manufacturer or modality … Just a REAL open door for everybody and everything pertaining to hair removal (the permanent kind). Of course all of this will be 100% free and open to everybody.

That’s my goal anyway. The more I “get into this,” the more I “get into it.”

To date, I have wanted to do videos of the schools, but nobody seems to want to do it … yet! I have always thought only one thing: why can’t we all see everything? That’s my only goal. By then, I’ll be out of practice so I can focus on everybody and not be seen as trying to “promote” anything; least of all my old silly self!

Great work Michael!!! It upsets me that LHR is heavily advertised worldwide and electrology is given little recognition, please continue to spread your good work and I am most definatley inspired I was actually reading one of your books! Gave me a great insight! Thank you

Quick update!! Just had my 30 min session today!!! My electrolgist was lovely, without even mentioning anything regarding the few tugs from the previous session! she picked up on one or twos tugs herself during the blend, she then informed me about turning the intensity up and said it would be more effective in the hairs sliding out or increase the time from 6 seconds to a couple of more seconds. I opted for the first option, as the pain was torable! She gave me a stressball to squeeze during the session which helped haha  so far pleased lol actually have my hair up for a start

Thank the Lord some of my faith is kinda being restored lol

Izraaaa,

I’m so stoked about your success! I have to admit to standing back a bit on your thread, because I feel like I give laser a hard time, and I dont like to come across that way. That and I saw the advice given from Michael and Emancipated, which was right on the money.

Dont sweat a few extra seconds of blend if she is getting good releases. I had a chance to look at a client this weekend I hadnt seen in 6 months. I was impressed to see almost none of the hair I treated on her had returned, all blend. The chemical decomposition nature of blend gives it a very high kill rate . IF she is working in blend and is getting good releases, you wont be seeing those hairs again.

Seana

Hey Seana, I’m glad iv found the ideal electrologist even if it means travelling far for her rather be in safe and skilled hands  I’m just worried that the hair I have induced from the laser keeps growing and delays the progression of treatment. However after 2 sessions of electroylsis I can see a massive reduction and a confidence boost hehe!
