excess body hair, self-image and dating

I was born male and for me I did not want hair anywhere as i went through puberty and adolesence. After the curse of physical maturity I ended up with hair on the chest, abdomen, legs, privates, arms, and beard. Density varied but I would say it was medium and I am a type 3-4 skin type. I was fortunate to have just very very fine peach fuzz growth on my back and shoulders and buttocks top and sides. You have your testosterone and genetics to thank for your burden. Your now stimulated follicles will continue to grow hair. I went the scorch and burn (no pun intended) method and have great results with IPL. For you with such large areas to clear IPL covers alot of area and as areas clear and hair grow finer you can control the extent you want to go. I am not getting the feeling you want total body clearing, so that is alot easier. Your skin type is also important and money is something else you better be prepared to spend so while your at it make sure you get a experienced tech and salon for your treatments. I would say at some point you have to move forward and use the technology that is out there to give you the confidence and body image you want. Do not continue to dwell on what you don’t like just act on it and change it. No need for embarrassment or to be shy with a professional tech and salon. All that matters is how you see yourself and then how you feel. Relax because you found the right forum now you need to find the right type of salon and treatment for YOU. For me I want to end up with total body hair removal or greatly reduced(I mean TOTAL) I want hair on my head and eyebrows so don’t feel to bad you don’t have as far as me to go.

True lasers work better than IPLs. I recommend to read our FAQs at the link below if you’re considering LHR.
