Ah, I see. Thank you Josefa
hi boy,
ive currently stopped my treatment in the uk as im having josefa work on me at the end of the month.
so pleased to be going as she is one of the best
JMISR - I have post-treatment itching for about 5 days, but I take anti-histamines anyway on the days of my treatments and for a couple of extra days afterwards.
Beautiful results as to be expected.
Which antihistamine are you taking?
Just regular over-the-counter Loratadine. My immune system and skin is quite sensitive and I have all sorts of allergies, but they work for me.
As you are sensitive to many things… did it ever occur to you it could be the after care being used. Soaps (with perfume), aloe and who knows what she is using may be the culprits.
Fortunately, the opinion of a expert physician is very useful, otherwise I would think, Lefty, I was doing something wrong. I usually wash the area for several minutes with antibacterial soap when the session ends, this is a soap solution containing chlorhexidine.

As far as I know the essence of jasmine is not included in its composition.
Lefty seems to be a presumptuous newbie spammer. S/he presumes we don’t know our own bodies and what we’re sensitive to or our own treatments and electrologists.
FYI - my skin is sensitive to heat, hence antihistamines. Running for 1 hour used to make my skin red and itchy. Less so now.
Oh no Smurf, if I’m right, Lefty is an expert electrologist that has much to teach us all.
He is correct, a soap with perfume, makeup, a deodorant can trigger an allergy.
I know you have not used any of that. What surprises me much is that in all the years of his career, some clients Lefty has not commented about this side effect, the itching is a common symptom in the healing process and I am sure he knows this.
Smurf, are you finding the loratadine relieves the post-treatment itching? (Was confused from your post whether or not it helps).
Yes indeed Jossie, itching is a very natural part of the healing process as histamine is released to produce the miracle of healing. The itching is noticed quickly as the mast cells release their “chemical mediators.” Some patients are more sensitive, but, yes, this is most common.
By the way, this is often a problem when it comes to the male genitalia because people may think you have some tendency for “broke the balls”.
I think it’s time to review our notes. Do not you think Michael? Thank you very much for the information.
Oh Jossie, you made me laugh for the whole day … and I needed that.
But sometimes people are overly sensitive to histamine. In such cases anti-histamines do make a sense. I even have an over-the-counter topical antihistamine at hand if (facial…) swelling appears pretty heavy, and i am applying this myself after “enjoying” facial electrolysis (which i still have to…)
Sorry, I’ve just seen this.
Itching naturally subsides as do rest of the symptoms. If you’re unlucky like me and come out in hives and a swollen face all the time, in addition to itchy skin, anti-histamines do help to ease the suffering sooner rather than later! I probably wouldn’t bother with anti-histamines if itching was my only symptom. Just use calamine lotion like you would after a bad sun burn, nettle rash or a bee sting and plenty of refrigerated aloe vera!
Hi Josefa, some news? How does the treatment continue? How often does the young guy come to you and for how many hours?
Hi Miro,
Until early September, I can not make new photos (closed by holidays). The last session was in early July (day 3 or 4, I do not remember). The first thing I do when I return to work, will call this guy to see how he continues. I could not find a spare moment in the last three weeks of July. But if this serves as a reference, he was already quite tan, even though I know that applies a high SPF on his skin. If you go back to the first photos of September 2010 you can see that he was not tan, at all. This is because he did not frequent the beach a lot, a large complex prevented him. Things have changed, there is a gap between the face that he was the first day and the face was the last day that I saw. I can not wait to see him again.
Josefa, well done on this amazing work.
Such a shame Malaga is quite far from London! Keep us the great work.
Thanks Jason.
Here’s “my” guy, Miro, just a year later. As expected, he is tanned, fit, and very, very happy. Two months after last session and just an hour before a rapid clearance mainly in the left side (this side had a clearance less before the summer).
Comment: I never tried to hide the temporary side effects of Electrolysis. This is very clear in the pictures.
