Brazilian/Hollywood possible?

To the original poster - I think many of us who have had PERMANENT hair removal on bikini and all other areas with coarse growth with LASER will disagree with your statements about permanency. I haven’t had ANY regrowth in 8 years now. It’s not magic. It won’t just start growing again.

Laser IS permanent on the right type of growth (coarse and dense) and at good strong settings (electrolysis is not effective either if you don’t get good treatments, which is just as common as it is with laser as people don’t do research). In your case, you will spend much less money starting with laser first and removing 95%+ before paying big bucks for electrolysis to finish the job and be at 100%. Plus, time is money. You’ll only spend at most 2 hours total on the table over the course of a year to get laser done on this area (6-8 treatments of 15-30 mins). With electrolysis alone, be prepared for dozens of hours.

You can do what you want. I try to recommend what’s best for you and not for your electrologist’s pocket.

I think there is just too many cases of laser not working. These guys earn bucks. People are willing to throw thousands away and these scoundrels take their money and run. Quite Frankly if it’s worked for you congratulations. If it hasn’t you deserve your money back. This should be the gurantee. Yes no one wants to spends dozens of hours on a table. There is no easy way out. Personally I had stimulated growth… my laser tech should have said no I refuse to treat. Instead carried on hoping to make the company some and herself some money. The whole industry should be regulated and cracked down on. Genuine people don’t take people’s money for nothing and then blame it on hormones etc it just so happens that the best electrologists on hhere are all actually very nice people and genuine and they get you results. There are electrologists out there charging extortionate rates and giving bad treatments but I bet all the money a hairy person would give to a laser techinician that it’s less than the laser setups out there. Also laser does not work for everybody even if they have coarse dense hair. This forum is proof of that.

There are a lot of cases of electrolysis not working as well. I believe Michael Bono posted on here that he met someone who spent 127 hours on one shoulder and it still wasn’t done (which I’m quite sure that was more money than what a laser tech would’ve taken.) I’m sure Romeo has treated hundreds (thousands?) of clients who have experienced very good results. Just like there are poor laser techs, there are poor electrologists as well. There are plenty of posts on here with people having bad reactions to electrolysis, scarring, pitting, permanent damage… both laser and electrolysis have plenty of pros and cons. This forum is really just a small fraction of people who have had good/bad experiences. I am also someone who has great experience with laser on some areas, and that saved me a lot of money on some areas compared to what electrolysis would’ve cost.

The only thing this forum is proof of is that there is an equal amount of incompetent electrologists and laser techs. I’m surprised you think there are more laser horror stories than electrolysis horror stories here. Do a simple search. It’s even.

To say that laser doesn’t provide permanent removal and electrolysis does, all things being equal, is an outright lie. Several regular posters here are proof of this.

p.s. Are you demanding electrologists give you money back if their treatments are not working? There are multiple posts here where laser clinics refunded money. I have yet to see a story where an electrologist provided a refund.

I don’t know of any stories of an electrolysis practitioner refunding money because electrolysis did not work, but I do know of a story where an electrolysis person who started doing LASER gave clients the choice of “free” electrolysis until the hair was gone, or their money back.

As for myself, I have given refunds of pre-payments to people who finished ahead of schedule, and for people who ended up not able to keep up the treatment schedule due to the distance, or moving away… but I guess that is not the same as not getting the job done and giving money back.

Shortly after starting my practice I received a call from a lady who wanted to know about electrolysis. She wanted treatments, but had been told that it did not work, she asked me why should she give it a chance. I told her that she should come in and get treatments and if it didn’t work I would refund her money and she could go find someone who could do it better. At the time i really wanted and needed clients. Needless to say she never asked for a refund and I know she is very happy and hair free now.

I no longer find it necessary to make that offer, I have enough success stories who are happy to share their experience with others!
