Hello
I have got my cheeks done , my electrologist uses thermolysis. She advised me to rub ice cubes on face for 2 days and apply neospirin powder in night.
I followed her instructions, however on very next day I got small pastules all over treated ares close to about 19-20 on each side.
I think I shouldn’t have appled ice cubes as water in cubes has caused infection in the pores. Any insights?
thanks
Those post-treatment recommendations are extreme. 2-days of ice? No! Neosporin each night? No! Somehow these recommendations make me think you are getting over-treated?
A good facial treatment requires no significant after-care. In my own practice … no aftercare at all except normal washing.
I dont feel I am getting over treated, as I used to have longer sessions previously with other electrologist. However I have tried a new electrologist this time around and yellow pastules appeared next morning.
I had appiled ice and water on my face as suggested.
I am just worried if these are due to any sign infection stemmed from the needle or because of water?
Also , I have checked with her, she told me its because I have applied ice over neospirin , so I am confused now what to do?
Post-treatment tiny pustules are not uncommon. That you didn’t see this with your other electrologist is somewhat inconsequential.
You ask. “Now what do I do?” The answer is: don’t do anything and stop fiddling with products. Just wash your face and wash away the pustules and then apply NOTHING!
Also, the pustules are not from water or the needle. Just dead material coming out of the follicle.
Thanks you so much
