YAG Laser on Male Beard

Hi everybody! This is my first post here

I’ve been reading a lot about laser hair removal on beard, and this are my conclusions (maybe im wrong).

  • ND Yag laser is one of the best choice for male Beard because it have a deeper Wavelength (1064).

  • ND Yag laser can be used in all kind of skins.

This are my following doubts:

  • What does “spot size” in mm, means? Igs better higher? For example, its better an spot size of 18mm than an spot size of 10 mm?

  • When you finish the first session of laser hair removal on beard, what happens? At this moment all the beard dissapears? Or the beard dissapears the next week?

  • I read that the hair has different stages of growth, (not know much about this). I’ve been plucking the beard for months with the silk.epil (braun), and when the hair grew back, the hair not come all at once, i mean, when i pluck those first hairs that grew back, the following days new ones appeared (not the last hairs i pluck)… when i pluck those, grew back the first ones i pluck … with this i want to know, if i use laser hair removal, how much i spaced the sessions??? Because if i shave my beard on month before i start laser sessions, maybe laser will not destroy all the hairs so i need to go two days latter?

  • Can i space the sessions every week? How often is a good option for male beards???

Thank you very much! And sorry for my english …

  • Larger spot size is better

  • All treated hair should shed within 3 weeks after the treatment

  • Yag is necessary for deeper areas on male face like the chin.

  • Hair grows in cycles, which is explained in the FAQs below. Once the hair sheds, it will take several weeks for hair from the next cycle to come in. That’s when you go for another treatment…usually about 8 weeks apart.
