xemos laser for at home use.

So what you are saying is that even though the current feedback is that the product is a sham, and current posters on this site have paid money for this and never got it (nor a refund), while others got it, tried to return it and did not get a cheerful refund as they had been promised. In fact, they could not even find the contacts to request a return authorization, or an address to send the thing back to.

Oh, well, I hope you can make use of it during the next Star Trek L.A.R.P.

Not sure if you’re are talking to me… if you are, have you ever thought that maybe I purchased it before finding this site… ummmm… because I did.

I’m not too concerned about the money since I used my CC and will get it back if I don’t get the product.

One must request a refund via the credit card agency within 60 days of the purchase date.

Their site has been down for Maintenance for a week… I will only give them 30 days from the date I purchased it to ship this before I cancel the the credit card payment.

Personally, if I had not received it by 30 days, I would cancel. What use is it to get the product with less than the time to see if it is working before the ability to get a refund from the credit card expires?

It’s sad when a google search for “Xemos” has this forum post as the first result :stuck_out_tongue:

Ah you are killing me!

I guess Xemos will be joining Kim Williams’ class action law suit against us for our “blatant Page Jacking” of their site.

I think its great that this site comes up when researching the Xemos! I wish it would have come up when researching some of the the things I wasted money on.

Hopefully this scam will never make it off the ground, so to speak. And a slew of innocent consumers will be spared the $200 dissapointment.

James, I was curious to whom this Kim Williams was. So I looked up all that insane info on Hairfacts that Andrea has listed. WOW! haha

This hair site exists mainly to expose these scam products to protect hair removal consumers who are already depressed enough. Losing money and seeing no results can further depress one and take away all hope of ever feeling “normal” again. We educate posters on what works and if they refuse to trust us, then there is nothing more we can do.

I went to purchase this product from the site and its been under maintenance for a while now. After reading every single review here I can kinda see where this is going to lead which is everyone being scammed and no one left happy. I am sorry to say this but the evidence specks for its self.

The vital solutions company appears to be going bankrupt and the credit card company cannot refund our money. looks like we lost out there!
Never even got one to try out!!!

Why won’t they reverse the charge? If you did not get the product, you don’t have to pay unless you waited 60 days or more to request the charge reversal. The fraud department should be able to help you even if t he normal customer service operator was not accomodating.

It doesn’t matter if they’re out of business. If you file with the credit card company, they will reverse the charge within 60 days. Did you ask them or you’re assumign they won’t?

If the business has closed, then they have probably closed the account into which credit card deposits were made by their merchant bank. If the merchant bank can’t withdraw the money from the business’ account, it can’t refund the money to your credit card company.

And if they have filed bankruptcy, depending on which chapter, your money is probably gone for good.

This could have been their plan all along

Hi everyone,

I wish to add my input to this - I have not read all the comments, there are too many, but I will give my facts as I not only use Xemos myself, but have imported an entire batch.

Firstly, I would like to inform everyone that I am a business person who research many business opportunities. I am not a spammer – in case anyone is thinking that. But I will be pasting this piece on all the blogs where complaints have been made regarding Xemos – as apposed to having to type the entire piece all over again on each blog.

I too, have been stolen from, by Michael Verveda and his non-existing companies called Vital Solutions/Visol/Vilay when I ordered my Xemos Laser Hair Removal System of which I saw the ad on FaceBook. I was very upset at the fact that I had been schemed - this has never happened to me before.

In trying to find Verveda, I came across the manufacturer of the Xemos Laser Hair Removal System and have dealt with them via e-mail. I was informed by my supplier, that their company have suffered a great deal, due to Verveda’s scheming and the negative comments it attracted. It is not the manufacturing company who is not delivering, it is Verveda (Visol/Vilay) that scheme people, like myself, into believing they supply Xemos Laser Hair Removal Systems. Epila and Xemos does NOT FORM a part of Visol/Vilay.

Nonetheless, I have ordered a batch of the Xemos Laser Hair Removal Systems, which I am now selling.

I am using the system on my boyfriend and myself. Before importing the Xemos, I have had laser hair removal done in a local clinic – fully body, very expensive. Some years before that, I had five sessions done on my bikini line. (Having a fair amount of Irish blood in me … we are hairy. My sister used to say, we are so hairy, we don’t bath, we dip! :)) Because of the excellent results I got, I looked into getting the Xemos system for myself and also to sell here. For obvious reasons, I have extended my knowledge regarding lasering by reading much about it and I can now also add experience, as we have used it for only a few months now.

Unlike the systems in salons, it does take a little more time. But unlike the cost of salon treatments, it is much cheaper. What makes the Xemos great, is that you have it on hand, to laser whenever you need to or have time to. Like with industrial machines, several treatments are required as hair has different stages and is required to be in the growing stage, when lasering is done.

The result on my boyfriend’s chest, after only three sessions, has been very good. The hair will still continue to grow until sufficient treatments have been given. The hair in the treated area grows back finer and much slower and there are areas where the hair has stopped growing all together. We have only lasered a small section on his chest, in order to do a comparison. Other lasering is being done in the meantime.

I will admit, that it is slightly painful – depending on each individual’s pain threshold. I, for example, can handle a longer session than my boyfriend. It could be because his hair is more coarse, that it is slightly more painful or the fact that I’ve had treatment before. Perhaps also because he admits to not handling any pain very well. However, the discomfort experienced, is temporarily felt as the laser hits the follicle. After that, the pain is gone. Unlike waxing, where the skin remains red, sensitive and sometimes even slightly swollen for the rest of the day. There may be some redness after lasering, however, that goes away soon. Again, people are all different and may experience lasering differently.

It is important that users use the Xemos correctly. I must admit, the Manual does not give all the information a hundred percent: i.e. using the laser for only 0.5 to 1 second, instead of the entire three seconds. That is perhaps why some users burn themselves. I make a point of informing my clients how to correctly use the Xemos and I also mail them an addition to the manual. The information that I send them, are questions that I have asked the manufacturer and on which they have replied.

I also wish to mention that Xemos is CE Certified. This means (courtesy of Wikipedia): “The CE marking (also known as CE mark) is a mandatory conformity mark on many products placed on the single market in the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking certifies that a product has met EU consumer safety, health or environmental requirements.

What I have written here, is true and out of personal experience. I am a very honest person and have read in some blogs that people selling Xemos, are inconsiderate, selfish people who only want to take other’s money. That is so far from the truth. I specifically imported this product in order to help fellow citizens in my country.

Should you wish to check my authenticity, please have a look at the profile I created on FaceBook. It is called Xemos S-Africa (as apposed to Verveda’s Xemos Home Laser Hair Removal System. I have made a post on his profile stating that it was a scam and that I do not form a part of it).

On my profile, you can see result pictures of my boyfriend’s chest. We’ve just done the fourth treatment and he shaved all his chest hair after. I will be taking pictures on a daily basis, to record the hair growth on the area treated versus the untreated area. After a few days, I will post the pics on FaceBook.

I hope that my input has cleared much of the uncertainty regarding the Xemos Laser Hair Removal system.

Hope you all have a great day further.

Regards,

Ruth

Results don’t depend on the number of sessions. They depend on how effective the specs of the machine and the settings that were set for a particular skin type. It’s like assuming that you can cut something with something not sharp if you try it 30 times. It still won’t work. You need a sharp knife.

Can anyone tell me a good reputable place I can buy a xemos now?

It appears that you have posted this same question on About.com today. So you are aware of the reviews there I am sure.

To anyone that has purchased from Visol, Vital Solutions, Epila or Vilay. I know many of you never even received your laser at home product. If I were you, the first thing I would do is contact my credit card company that I paid with. I would tell them the situation and request a stop payment. From many of the people that wrote in, Paypal seems to be doing absolutely nothing about the product never showing up at your doors.”

The post on this thread, dated March 5, 2010 by Ruth KMB is word for word on the about.com link as well.

I don’t know where you would purchase this laser after reading the about.com link.

Looks like the Xemos has been resurrected under another name:

Diode Laser Hair Remover by Laser Hair Revolution
http://www.diode-laserhairremoval.com/

This was sold recently as a Groupon; then Groupon cancelled the orders because of lack of FDA approval. Based on what I’ve read in this thread, I’m glad Groupon cancelled my order - they saved me $199.

Thanks for having good consumer information available here.
