wrinkles

I have a question about wrinkles. I know wrinkles can form from over treatment as covered by other posts, but this question is a bit different.

Is it possible that wrinkles form elsewhere, close to the treatment area, but not in the treatment area? I have a friend getting electrolysis on her chin and she swears the new wrinkles on her neck are the result of electrolysis. I said if anything it would tighten up the skin, but I would like other opinions.

Thanks,
Jes

Good electrolysis would tend to tighten up the skin not cause premature aging. Smoking, sun exposure, and poor diet do much more cumulative damage to the skin.

Just in the treatment area, or all along the path of electricity?

Just in the treatment area.

As a matter of fact, those who noticed this effect put their minds to formulating a treatment to get the result without the electrolysis, it is known in the beauty industry as Thermage.

how old is your friend?

early 50s, Just about the right age to start getting those deep wrinkles anyway.
