women with hirsutism?

Can you tell me your secret on shaving to get less ingrowns? honstly I would shave my whole body if razor bumps and ingrowns didnt become the end result. Ugh and waxing is my enemy, literaly a week later the hair is back!! stupid hair go away! no one told you to grow lol

My skin hates all temporary forms of hair removal, too. The secret is basically to try and try until you find what combination works for you. I got many ideas from here.

Shaving utensils:

The foam has be really rich like Noxzema or Palmolive classic. I use Mach Turbo 3 blades. (Maybe the those 4 or 5 blade systems are better but I haven’t tried them yet.)

Warm water is a must and a warm room even better. Don’t press too hard on the skin. Short strokes. Rinse after each stroke. (If there is more than a day’s growth I have to shave with the grain of the hair first before I shave against it!)

Then, after I dry the skin, I wait a bit then I put Tend Skin on. (I do not moisturize if I’m planning to wear jeans or leggings afterwards. It will irritate!) But I have to use a good moisturizer at least once a day.

Here comes the hardest part. I avoid picking ingrowns, especially if they look irritated. But if I must I use a sterile blood lancet and only if I’m sure I can extract them with almost no damage.

People will rarely notice an ingrown but they WILL notice a picked ingrown.
