Why am I not seeing hardly any shedding?

Hi,

Two sessions,each with only shedding on very limited portions of the front of my bikini line. The rest doesn’t shed at all.

Very light skin. Fairly dark, coarse hair . It is admittedly not black, but two laser specialists thought it would be dark enough to get results

Cutera Prowave - settings on mode A at 26 joules.

The laser place said that hair doesn’t always shed, and that was new to me.

Any thoughts? I don’t know if it’s worth trying again, because their answer is to do more treatments without giving me satisfying answers about why I’m not getting any shedding.

Hair does always shed with an effective treatment.

It is an IPL which may explain why but maybe also the settings aren’t high enough.

I’d look for some where with an Alexandrite.

I am going to look elsewhere (I didn’t know it was an IPL before the I purchased the treatments)

Makes me mad because when I tell her every laser place says I should she shedding, she tells me I’m wrong and being impatient. The hair doesn’t always shed
I’ve only had two sessions and it can take 6 sessions to see results. etc

In the meantime, can anyone else comment on the settings so when I talk to them about a touchup, etc, I have more leverage? It’s hard to stay assertive because they keep insisting my results are totally normal.

Ah…one more questions. Does anyone know what ipl feels like?

My first treatment I remember zaps everywhere , and I got better results. This treatment it was strange. After she could tell the zaps hurt, she just rolled the apparatus over my skin and there weren’t many zaps. I know I am being skeptical to think she wasn’t treating the entire area, but I don’t trust this place.
