Which needles give less scarring?

Hello,

I read about isolated needles and that they would minimize the risk for scarring. Which of these needles would you recommend for thermolysis?

You are asking the wrong question. You should ask yourself if your electrologist has the proper skill to avoid permanent side effects, not the type of probe (needle), they are using. When you go to the doctor or dentist do you worry about which instrument or implement they use out of fear something will go wrong? Of course not! I think you need to do more research. Find a skilled electrologist and you will have nothing to worry about.

“Find a skilled electrologist and you will have nothing to worry about.”

This is not easy where I live. I want to minimize the damage. Is there absolutley no risk reduction with isolated needles?

“Risk reduction” is 100% in the hands of the electrologist and has NOTHING to do with equipment. For example, if your electrologist uses galvanic or the blend method, insulated (not isolated) probes CANNOT be used at all … so what does that tell you? Clients that enter into treatment and worry themselves to death over machines, probes, and implements make the worst clients. A stress/anxiety meltdown between the electrologist and the client would not be uncommon under these circumstances.

I don’t think so. If both agree beforehand to use isolated probes, both can relax, because available precautions have been taken. Then there is no need for anxiety anymore during treatment.

You misunderstood my entire post. By the way, there is no such thing as “isolated probes.” Good luck.

I mean insulated. In germany we say isolated.

They do not minimise the risk of scarring. Scarring is caused by a poorly skilled electrologist, and the behaviour that leads to scarring would not be significantly helped by using an insulated probe. The main benefit is in reducing the skin reaction after treatment. As these reactions are only temporary, they are not scarring whether an insulated probe probe was used or not.

I agree that it is more important to find a proper electrologist. If you’re concerned, they may need to provide testimonials or before-after images.
