which laser is best for me?

I have been going to american laser centers for laser hair removal and have had HORRIBLE results. Not only has it NOT worked, it has made hair on various parts of my body coarser and unusually longer. I am ready for a change. I have been doing my research and have found 3 diffent kind of lasers which I want to try. I wanted to know if there is any recommendation as to which laser will likely work the best for me. I have light skin with dark hair (supposedly the perfect candidate). I am looking into trying either lightsheer diode, gentlelase, or cynosure apogee eilte (which I believe uses an alexandrite laser.) From your knowledge/experience, which laser is the most effective where I can FINALLY see some results and reverse the damage that has already been done. Thanks!!

As long as the hair is coarse, dark and dense and your skin type is between I-III, the GentleLASE would be the best option. Failing that the Cynosure Apogee Elite (Alexanderlite setting, as this has to wavelengths) is quite a good laser as well, it has a slightly smaller spot size at 15mm compared to the GentleLASE 18mm.

If you fit the description above you will get better results from those Alexanderlites than the Lightsheer diode, this is because the pulse on these machines can go lower, the spot sizes are bigger as well as a couple of other factors.

Benji

What is the area you want to treat? What type of hair is on that area?

What is your skin type?
