Which Electrolysis Machine To Buy?

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can recommend a reliable, effective and easy to use electrolysis machine to purchase?

Or is there a thread already discussing this topic you can point me to?

My wife is about to start her de-hair-ing journey. My hairline’s been on it’s own journey for years now… but that’s for another forum I’m sure, lol.

Thanks much.
Matthew

You actually have a lot of options. Here is a link to our thread that features electrolysis machines for purchase on ebay: http://www.hairtell.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/67741.html#Post67741

It will give you an idea of the popular and effective machines and how much they cost. You’ll probably buy a used machine since not many individuals can afford a brand new one. That’s fine, used machines are usually in good shape and can always be refurbished for pretty cheap if need be.

I use an Instantron Elite, and I really like it. Silhouette is a popular brand, and if you can afford anything by Apilus then they are the cream of the crop. Get a machine that can do galvanic, blend, and thermolysis so that she can do galvanic for a while before trying to mess with thermolysis.

Hey! A funny new poster! Try this:

This links you to equipment that electrologists are trying to sell. The Clareblend would be a nice buy for you, but there are good offers on some other epilators as well.

I think one issue with the ebay list is that the links provided are dead and you can’t even see what it is and the names are vague, along with descriptions. It’s also a LOT of reading to sift through. Sure I pulled out a few brands to keep a look out for but it’s a hard list to follow, especially if you are a noob. I do appreciate the list of brands to stay away from that I did find on this forum. Maybe a vet around here can make a list of devices or brands that are reliable and then sticky it, or maybe if I learn this stuff fast enough I’ll do this myself and see if it gets stickied. Anyways, my 2 cents.

I am learning a lot from this forum and hope to find the perfect device for my wife.

The management here makes a somewhat flawed assumption that most people here are aware of our sister site HairFacts.com, where all the reference material resides. On that site, one at least finds all the manufacturers names, if not the specific model names and numbers. It also lists our scammer’s hall of fame.

Of course, there is a saying that goes, “The problem with auto mechanic books, is that they are written by engeneers and auto mechanics for other engineers and auto mechanics. The average person has little hope of understanding them because they assume you know more than you know.”

Thanks for helping us wipe the smudges from our rose colored glasses, and any help you can be in making the site more user friendly will be appreciated.
