Where to find an Electrologist who treats Sebaceous hyperplasia?

Hello, I saw on Mike Bono’s youtube (bless him) that electrolysis can be used to remove sebaceous hyperplasia. Up until now, nothing has worked for it and I’m in my 30s and it is all over my forehead and just going to get worse and worse - and I’ve tried everything recommended and dermatologist treatments etc, often multiple times.

After discovering I was living near Mike Bono for many years, I reached out to him and he mentioned he’d done it before, but this was shortly before the sad news…

I’m wondering is there anyone else who could do this? Any recommendations? Can my electrologist learn how to do this herself, by watching the video? Is it hard to learn? Thank you kindly

You could try retinol it may help the downside is when yoou stop using it the issue returns. Beyond that you could try thermolysis at a shallow depth of the hair follicle to disable the sebacious gland, however this is not something I am trained in and most electrologists are not either… Personally I wouldnt perform this advanced skin treatment asI feel it falls more under dermatology than it does hair removal.

Hi there

This is advanced electrolysis, I am trained in this and you can get rid of a lot of skin imperfections. Feel free to visit my website. I’m based in Gloucester but if I’m too far you may find and Advanced Electrolysis closer www.gdvibes.co.uk/electrolysis

Hi, thanks. I have been on a retinol for 10 years with increasing dosages, and it doesn’t do anything unfortunately. There is no cure or way to remove them - except it seems using the electrolysis method that the woman from Spain is specialized in, from his video. Dermatologists will try to do all kinds of procedures (I’ve done them) to get rid of them, knowing though it doesn’t actually help. It’s a shame that there is a way to remove them (with the electrolysis needle and method) but the derms don’t know and don’t advocate or learn it.

aw, if you were closer I would definitely seek you out! If you ever come to the US, let me know, lol. I’ll do some googling and hopefully someone here has a recommendation of someone in the states that does it. Thank you kindly!

(ps. I just googled and found about 100 places in the UK and no places in the US. Why don’t we do it here in the US? That’s wild.)

In a word, liability. Most electrologists are not looking to get sued, and the US is a very litigious society on the whole.

Hi! This treatment falls under scope of estheticians in the state where my clinic is located. You can book this treatment for sebaceous hyperplasia by selecting “advanced electrolysis skin tag treatment” at pnwelectrology.com

Oh this is great news. Do you know of other places in California by any chance that also do this?

And if not, I take it you have treated sebaceous hyperplasia before? Do you use the method that Mike Bono shares in his video (Doughnuts on the skin? Sebaceous Hyperplasia - YouTube)? Perhaps in the coming years I could try to make a trip up there, and get them taken care of!
