Where should I start first? (Images)

Hello, long time no post! I am now 19 (cisgender female) and my hair problem has continued. Now hair has darkened and lengthened, draping itself all around my stomach instead of just leaving a happy trail. Of course, my toes, buttocks, upper and inner thighs, lower back, arms, chest, upper lip and a small part of the chin, around the nipples are all still an issue, but I can manage those somewhat.

I have read a lot about electrolysis and laser hair removal over the years, but now I am a little uncertain as to what I should do now that things have worsened. I have some pictures of the area (most noticeable in this light and in the sun)

From a distance, a fair distance, anyway, you cannot see much. But anywhere near me, and it is very obvious. Apologies for scabbing and redness, I get frustrated with it haha. The hair around the bellybutton trailing up to my chest and downward is a little longer and coarser.

In the sun especially, it is fairly dark. Nothing like underarm hair, but dark. (You will have to fullsize those images to see what I mean)
Is this too large of an area for electrolysis- considering that I am 19, and going to be spending all of my petty income on this?

If I was looking for at least a reduction in hair, would you recommend laser? By that I mean, is the hair dark enough? It is a fairly large area so perhaps for now it would be a better option. Maybe one day I will look to also try and control the mess that is my butt and lower back. I just want to be able to go swimming without worrying again.

Thank you for any help! By the way, I live in Canada, so some of the best places to go might be out of range for me.

My belly hair is similar in pattern but darker and more dense.

I bleach it. It becomes almost invisible from far away and much less noticeable close up.

This hair is too fine for Laser (by a long way). It’s not a large area for electrolysis. The way you may want to go about it for now (if finances are an issue) is to bleach, then just remove what is still obvious to you after bleaching. Okay, so you will need to continue bleaching but at least the biggest hairs will be gone.

Thank you! I do bleach currently (not in those images, however) and I hope to remove the hair as it is still quite noticeable in the sun. I will try electrolysis I suppose!

Well to me the hair on your sides is normal for a woman’s stomach. It may be noticeable in the sun, but really, who is going to look at it that closely? Most naturally blonde women have the same kind of hair on their torsos - which is noticeable in the sun and they don’t remove it.

Anyway, I’m all up for being totally hair free but if it’s not possible just yet, I think you can easily get away with just getting rid of the biggest hairs and still swim without worry.

That is very comforting of you to say! My friends are so smooth it makes me so jealous…
