When is the best time to shave the hair, the night before the laser treatment or just right before the treatment? The laser machine is Nd:Yag and the area is facial hair, skin type is IV.
If you need to shave, we would prefer 1-2 days prior to treatment.
Will the hair be cut short from the laser on the treatment day? I shaved my facial hair right before the laser treatment before. I just feel uncomfortable walking around with hairs skicking out from my upper lips area, before and after the treatment, lol. I am a girl.
Every Center has different protocols. You should ask your provider as to their recommended regimen. We do not like to treat female facial hair immediately after it has been shaved.

Yeah, from past experience I’ve always been told to shave the evening before (Just make sure you never wax or pluck.)
