What is true about hair??????

everyone tells me different! Ive been laserd on my chin over 8 times, and they shave me before i get lasered, only they shaved my cheeks and my chin. Now i have black coarse hairs everywhere, and nothing works! Does tweezing them make them come back with friends? will getting lasered yet again help?
any help, would, help!!

thank you!

Are you male or female? If you are female, it could be laser induced hair growth and that could cause new hair to grow. Not absolutely, but possible.

Tweezing can cause distorted follicles, which can make future permanent hair removal more difficult. It won’t cause new hair, but can make removal of existing unwanted hair more difficult.

Given you are just doing your chin and it is a small area, you should have a consultation with an electrologist. A skilled electrologist using modern equipment can probably clear that area fast and might even be cheaper in the long run.

Stop the laser and start the electrolysis!! Some women notice laser has induced facial growth with as little as one treatment. If your going to start electrolysis. Let all your hair grow back (at least 3 months) so you can see how much hair you have to deal with. Women who start electrolysis right after they’ve been dissapointed with laser may be dissapointed with electrolysis too.

Why? It takes months for all the hair to return after a laser treatment and if you start electrolysis when the hair 1st starts to return, the hair will appear to come in heavier and heavier throughout the next couple of months. One may mistake this as the electrolysis causing the problem. Especially if after laser, one hasnt let the hair grow and seen how laser has affected the hair (possibly darker/coarser?). You DONT have to do this and you can go straight to electrolysis, but some find it confusing and frustrating when switching from laser to electrolysis. Is it the chicken or the egg causing the hair growth when you going in for procedures to REMOVE the hair.

This can be quite a shock but remember electrolysis can take care of this permanently. Your not alone. Just be prepared, you wont see the quick (but temporary) results of laser that lasts for 1-2 months. You will need to come in more often for electrolysis treatments.

Laser is great! but not for women’s faces. Its best to just stop the laser asap unless they give you free treatments for the next couple of yrs. Sometimes it can be reversed that way but, it will never be as it was before you started

I wish you the best and remember it can be fixed with electrolysis.

Wow, how timely. We just had a poster here talking about (and showing pictures) of how she went for LASER on a small area on her face, and the amount of hair exploded in that area, and then she had to go get electrolysis to clear it all out.

She would have spent way less money, and would have been done had she gone to electrolysis first.

But no one does TV shows like The Swan to highlight electrolysis. LASER gets all that attention.
