What is the advantage of gold plated probes? And are there disadvantages also?
For clients that have an allergy to nickel in stainless steel probes, gold can solve this issue. Gold probes are very popular and many electrologists claim less skin reaction, but I cannot detect any significant difference between gold and stainless. My advice is to try a variety of probe types including gold to see you you like them.

They insert smoothly, provide a layer of gold to protect from those with allergies to the nickel in stainless steel, and they provide good conductivity for galvanic currents. Whether that improved conductivity improves the treatment, well it doesnt seem to make a huge difference, but I suppose some.
