What do you think of this?

I understand that it won’t give some permanent results, but could it be used just to reduce the number of hairs? Or eventually destroy some folicules? (I would use it for light hairs).

I still can’t afford electrolysis, so could this be a solution better that shaving and waxing?

I am afraid it can make the situation worse, by having the same effect as plucking.

This is a scam device. It won’t do anything but maybe disperse treatment energy into your skin. You need something that will put galvanic energy into the follicle. A One Touch would work, whereas this product won’t.

So, I should try One Touch?
It won’t affect the growth, nor the follicules?
I wouldn’t like it to affect my possible future electrolysis treatments.

The one touch is a crude home use electrolysis device. It WILL permanently remove what ever hairs you manage good insertions and treatment energy on. If you are going for professional work, and don’t want to do anything permanent until then, you should just shave.

This is basically a bulky tweezer. It will be identical to plucking for all intents and purposes.

One Touch works, but it is difficult to use, and slow. You are probably better off saving up for pro treatments, unless you are reeeeeally dedicated and willing to invest hundreds of hours into doing it yourself. And if that’s the case, then you may want to just buy a professional machine for yourself instead. Especially if you want to treat large areas.

That being said, you can get the One Touch for like $15 or something on ebay, so if you want to give it a shot then go ahead. It hardly costs anything to try. Just don’t be too frustrated if you struggle with it twice and never use it again. :stuck_out_tongue:

I used the One Touch for a night or 2. the hairs came out fine, but it hurt like rip and swelled up a bit. I had the idea of doing a whole arm or leg, not gonna happen.

Well, I’ve gotta do something, because I am soooo frustrated.
I am going to give it a try, as I can’t afford anything else at the moment. At least some hairs will be gone. I talked to a friend, she is willing to do it on my back and I am gonna pay for it. An hour a day :).
Thanks a lot for help. The thought that I am going to try something that can be permanent already makes me feel better.

SadK, where do you live?

In Serbia.
I did a little research and find only a few electrologists that sound serious, and they are very far from where I live. I am a student, and can’t afford to travel there and do it, nor to buy a professional do-it-yourself mashine at the moment. So OneTouch is the only option for me now, I guess.

Be very careful with the needles/probes on the One Touch, they bend out of shape really easily.New ones can be bought but it makes the cost mount up.

Oh heck yeah. The probes are pretty bad. They bend quite easily and it took me forever to get replacements (at the time, I could only find a box of 2 for like $12 and one of the two probes arrived bent!) Also, I’ve noticed that the replacements don’t fit in my follicles right. They are very blunt or something, because it took a lot of effort to get them in even the biggest follicles, especially with that annoying spring system.

I have a one touch and was able to permanently remove hair on the right side of my upper lip. I had a couple of dark hairs there and they don’t grow back after over a year.

However, I couldn’t comfortably treat my left side upper lip or any of my chin or neck.

You will also have to factor in the cost of repeat purchase of batteries alcohol(or something to sterilise the probes) & alcohol wipes.
