I don’t see why it would be weird for a guy to do laser, many men shave or wax or even trim, it’s just not as discussed as a woman doing it since pretty much all women are going to shave their legs or underarms where as men don’t. It’s weird you mention other than armpits, to me it would seem that the chest would be the most popular area for a man to treat.
I’ve treated my entire beard and neck and have removed most of it. It does hurt but it’s not THAT bad. It hurts more because there’s more hair there. To Will Bfree I’m not sure about that 5 o’clock shadow message. Your shadow looks a bit weird for maybe 1 or 2 days if that but certainly not weird enough that anyone would ever say anything. Your face looks no different at all, except for once the hair sheds, then you’re completely smooth and don’t have to shave for a month at least. Might have been the laser being used or the persons skin type but I’m type 3 and have done alexandrite and yag on my face and had no issues whatsoever.
As to why men do it, there’s just as many reasons as to why women would do it. I hate to shave my face, and I find when it’s VERY smooth I look younger as well. Laser is so inexpensive and easy to do that I figure why not, remove my beard since I don’t like facial hair anyway. As for other areas of the body, I prefer being smooth and I think men look much better when they’re smooth as well vs hairy. I started laser to remove the hair on my stomach. IT was the only area on my body that bothered me to have hair there. Once I did it and saw how easy it was to do laser, it sort of becomes an addiction since you start to get like “Well, how much would it be for me to remove this hair here on my hands, or to do my underarms, etc”
