Those of you who have seen it know there is a very funny scene in 40 Year Old Virgin where Steve Carrell’s character goes to get waxed at a salon. He is very, very hairy, and he leaves before his chest is done because it hurts too much.
I’m sure this will make a few people avoid waxing, but even a really hairy guy can get his chest waxed if it’s done properly.
First-timers should trim the hair. Longer hair tends to hurt more when getting pulled out. Another option is to shave and get a few waxing sessions as the hair grows out. That way you aren’t pulling out as mnay hairs at once, which is easier on your skin.
