Waxing before Laser Hair Removal!??????????

Hey guys I’m new to the forum and I had a quick question…
…I’m a 25 yo male going into laser hair removal of my shoulders…
I’ve waxed and shaved before and I hate them…

…The technician at the clinic tells for best results I should have my hair in the growing stage, so if I wax before weeks before going and I enter the appointment with freshly grown hair from the waxing, will I get better results?

No - you may end up pulling hairs that were in the growth stage. Let the laser do its job and hit all the hairs it can, no plucking or waxing before you go in.

personally, I think waxing did help my treatments. But you have to do it at LEAST 8 weeks before the treatment or even farther away. It helps synchronize the hair in my opinion to get faster results.

More importantly though, what machine are they using? what is your skin and hair type? did you check out several places before choosign this one to make sure this is the best way to go? there are many variables that need to be considered.

That makes sense - I was thinking he meant closer to the appointment.

Hey guys thanks for the input. The idea of doing what I’m thinking or doing is kind-of mixed I see… be assured that I won’t book my appointment until 8 weeks from now…

The laser they are using looks very promising its the Apogee Elite…

I have very fair skin with the usual dark hair… From my experience with electrolysis I definitely want to do everything possible to sync the hair follicles.
