Waxing and hair Cycles

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the multiple questions but Im so excited to find this forum at all!

Anyway…so I have been waxing my upper lip…I think Ive done it about…4 times??? I am planning on getting laser so this is not a permanent solution. I have also been waxing my stomach

My problem is…I’m very worried I’m totally abnormal. Because I read somewhere when you wax an area it takes 2-6 weeks for the hair to start growing back however on both of these areas I notice new hair in 2-6 days…not weeks!!! Also, when I wax my upper lip I can never seem to get rid of all the hair. I am currently using an aloe vera based wax that you heat up on the stove and you apply and then rip off. Im not sure what to call it
Should I try another type of product?
I don’t really like those wax strips and I only need to do the corners of my upper lip the other hairs are too short and un-noticable to bother with.

Any ideas?

You may be having difficulty with the product you are using or the technique of taking it off. Either way, I would NOT recommend waxing either of those areas. It is possible to stimulate those areas and make the problem worse.

you’re probably not pulling out most of the hair with the root. the hairs are probably breaking off. have you tried bleaching? waxing can stimulate the hair to be darker and more coarse sometimes, especially on the face. shaving of bleaching is best. for a permanent solution, electrolysis is a better option for your face.

i had no idea
i didnt know that waxing was worse for your face and your stomach are you sure that is definately true?

i am getting laser treatment for both in about a month…this is just temporary
