Want to Get Laser Done on Face - Help!

Hello,

Out of all the hair removal methods, I have seen that laser seems to be the best. Although I am reading about something called ‘shedding’.

Anyway, I am a newbie to all this, and I have hair on my face, so what is best for me? Laser? - Yes, I have light skin, dark hair. Or is there something better out there? If yes to laser, what do I need to know before going onto it so it’s a few years before hair grows back there.

One word of caution. I opted for laser and experienced laser induced hair growth (Paradoxical hypertrichosis). I spent thousands with the opposite result than what I had hoped for.

So the laser caused your hair to grow more?

How can I avoid that?

I have hair all over my face, want it out. : (

Then seek a skilled electrologist, preferably one that has a modern epilator, surgical vision wear and a good light source. A modern electrologist can move through areas quickly, with good skin tolerance and healing. It is commonplace for many electrologists to treat 500-1,200 hairs per hour, depending on their set up and skill. That kind of number really makes an impact on a woman’s face and gives HOPE to the distressed.

That’s my advice, but you can try the laser route if you think it will be better for you. I am not a proponent of women lasing their faces because I see too many who have tried it and in the end, they are coming to me to get all the hair left behind or I am treating all the new hair that laser stimulated.

Okay, so you think laser is not a good option? I am an asian, the hair on my face is visible, so I guess it would be easy to catch, but I’m not hearing good things about laser. If anyone knows of any good places for electrolysis in the UK, please do let me know.

Laser only works on COARSE DENSE hair. If that’s not what you have on your face, go straight for electrolysis. Laser can induce more hair when treating hair that’s too fine on a woman’s face. Laser is only good for beard-like growth.

There are many discussions about clinics in the UK. Please use the Advanced Search feature and read the Electrolysis section of the forum.
