Very strange shedding after diode - missed areas or something else????

I underwent full body laser hair removal with diode laser (MedioStar) the 8:ght of february.

Now the shedding has started but there are many and big patchess/areas of hair that are growing longer and are firmly attached to the skin while the rest of the hairs are shorter and loose, they can be plocked without resistance.

The STRANGE thing is that I was watching when the practitoner did my stomach and chest and it really looked like she covered most of the areas, and even if she missed she couldn’t have missed this much!

What can this be?

I can add that the method used was the gliding method.

you need to wait longer. for most people shedding doesn’t even start until week 2. it’s only been 1 week. you will see more shedding, most of it should come between week 2 and 3.

Yes, I do understand that and I wasn’t expecting shedding so fast because a had been told that it takes a while for shedding to occure with diode laser.

But now shedding has occured after just nine days but it’s patchy. In som areas the hairs grow longer as if they weren’t treated and in others they have stopped growing and are now loose. And I don’t meen different body parts but adjacent patchess on the same body part.

not all hair sheds at the same time. shedding continues over the course of 3.5 weeks or so. just wait and be patient, a lot of that hair will probably shed.

I called my practitioners about my issue and one of them said that the patcehss aren’t missed patchess but areas that just don’t respond as good. I think this sounds VERY strange because the patchess are on the same body parts, and also I NEVER saw this happen when undergoing IPL treatments.

I regrett so much paying all this money for bad treatment.

I underwent treatment 8/2 and they can’t se me for touch up treatment before 8/3 - a hole month!

I will be all patchy and have itchy stubble on my body during this time and also after the touch up treatment I will be patchy when the hairs are growing out because the patchess will grow out one month later than the other hairs and by then many of the other hairs will have left the growth phase…I wish I had just gone to my old clinic, at least then I would be sure the hairs will shed.

I wouldn’t worry yet. Honestly, it is VERY early to tell if those hairs will or will not shed. I don’t experience shedding of all hairs until end of week 3 or even 3.5. It’s only been 10 days for you! It’s way too early to tell. Touch-ups are usually done at week 4 or 5. So a month is just fine. It’s good that they’re willing to do it for free too. Not all clinics do.

The areas of hair that are not shedding are growing longer every day and are now much longer that the “roots” of the shedding hairs that slide out, so it is not possible that the patchess are hair that will shed.
This week I’m having IPL on my hole upper body to fix the patchyness but I am going for the touch up treatment for my legs and butt.
