ok but shouldnt i wait another week for this last treatment to see what sheds, i just had with the GentleLASE in seattle (last saturday)… I am confused because i am getting conflicting advice from the different elite members on this forum…
You need to wait 3 weeks after your last treatment to evaluate what was missed and what it looks like, and then wait around 8 weeks for the next cycle to begin to see what it looks like. I’m pretty confident it will look like it did before you start.
From my experience, all I have to say is good luck at trying to go to any clinic and telling them what to treat you with and how. I’ve been to several clinics, most are very knowledgeable, but I’ve yet to see one that actually goes against their normal practice and does a treatment based on what I ask. It’s one thing to ask to be treated with the alexandrite vs the yag and so on, but when you start telling them what settings to use, as far as they’re concerned you’re just a normal consumer and they’re the expert. If I owned a clinic, I wouldn’t be altering my normal treatments based on what a client wants after telling me they read about it online.
edokid i bought those biore strips…when should i try using them? and should i let it grow out a couple of days before i use the strips so they have something to grab onto…
and what it if it doesnt all shed this round…? i have to get it all out before i can let it grow back for a few months
what do you mean short intervals? i have been going ever 2-3 weeks …are saying i need to go more often?
Justin, I replied to you as a PM.
Chris, Justin just had a treatment at another clinic with GentleLASE at 12J on 18mm one week ago. We recommended he waits 2 more weeks for hair to shed from that treatment. Then he can reassess.
The Biore strip can be used any time, it’s designed to clean out your pores which are below the surface of your skin with nothing sticking out. A day’s growth or so would probably help a bit but it’s not necessary. It’s best to wait though I’d say until 10-15 days after your treatment before doing it. You can do it any time you want but they’re expensive to use often. White school glue works just as well I find!
you all seem to be saying that i can fix this and its not something i need to worry about in the long term… which puts me at ease a little…but if theres anyway to speed up the process, such as having an additional YAG treatment right away, if that will help get all these damn hairs out sooner…then maybe thats something i need to do?
or should i take it 2-3 weeks at a time with treatments?
dont i need to get it all out before the new hair starts to regrow or I could face problems ? with patchy regrowth in the future?
Hair that’s treated at a session will shed in 2-3 weeks, if it doesn’t shed and it stays stuck, then it wasn’t treated properly so you can do another treatment. Not all hair will shed some gets stuck under the skin like pepperspots which will be burned off at the next treatment. You’re worrying way too much, you need to just stop doing anything and let the hair actually shed. Even if some hair doesn’t shed then you just have to deal with it. In 6-8 weeks the next cycle will start, and if you let it all grow back in, I’m confident you won’t look any different than you did when you started. You won’t get results from just 1 session. You can then evaluate what you want to do or if you’re ready to have such an area treated.
There is no point of treating more often than once every 3 weeks since you can’t tell what was affected until the hairs sheds, which takes 3 weeks.
Wait one more week, see what happens. Post pictures in a week.
but if i am using tweezers and some are very short and sliding right out (shedding hairs) and others are still snug and quite long (hairs that wont be shedding)
isnt this a clear indication of whats gonna happen…
No it’s not, some hair sheds in 7 days some sheds in 14 days you have to wait 3 weeks. They don’t all fall out at the same time.
here are some updated HQ pics taken 7pm tuesday 29th…10 days after last treatment on GentleLase…basically its just these areas…the bottom of the neck has nearly completely shed…
this is 2 full days without shaving…

i really doubt these areas are gonna shed over the next week…still feel snug in the skin…praying that im wrong but i doubt it…
It can take up to 3 weeks to shed, give it a few more days then I would just call the clinic and request a touchup. That’s easier said than done though, if they’re shifty they’ll probably tell you it’s normal for all hair not to shed. The area’s aren’t that big, if you’re really concerned you could just ask what it would cost to have just that area treated again. Figure out what laser you want to be treated at, I’d suggest a Yag still at 15mm or higher, pay to have just that area redone. Otherwise just leave it and give up on this, you won’t notice anything major after the hair all grows back.
10 days is not enough time. I don’t know why you’re doubting them will shed when it takes 3 weeks and most hairs don’t START shedding until day 10-11. Wait another 11 days. Patience is key. It looks like most of the patches are already gone, which is great.
well its basically 2 weeks now and those 2 areas on either side are still there and snug and look like they are growing normally
do you guys think i should setup something with Caddell’s next weekend to go over just those areas with the YAG? will that finally get that area?
Give it one more week. If they’re still there, then yes, give those spots a go with a Yag.
but do u think if i go over it with the yag, and lets say that it sheds…will it grow back unevenly because i went over 1 area with a YAG and another area with a Alex? or eventually it will all even out and it will basically be back to the full beard before i started…
Justin, no matter what, you need an Alex/Yag Combo treatment to have everything grow back evenly. i would get a Yag treatment over those areas ( [patches ) and then wait 3-4 weeks.
