Very sad-post electrolysis-. pls help

I’ve gone in for my first few sessions doing under arms and breasts. underarms doing fine but scabbing for one week. normal?
More importantly–
First time did just the few hairs around areolas that had gotten thick from plucking. Afterwards, had a few little bee sting like dots that came off after a week with gentle exfoliation. This made me feel comfortable to request the removal of all the fine hairs on rest of breasts the second time around. Electrologist even lowered the setting. BUT this time breasts look absolutely terrible and traumatized. It’s now been a week and still looks like I picked and scarred my breasts but of course didn’t touch them. Why? Wish they had warned me.

Meh, give it time. Sticking a probe down your follicle and blasting the crap out of a hair root and blood supply is going to cause some short-term damage. It’s temporary, although the skin can take quite a while to recover, especially if you got overtreated or wind up with an ingrown or two. Don’t worry about it and come back and check in in a month.

Electrolysis, on all body areas, causes temporary scabbing, it is a completely normal reaction, and the skin can take up to three weeks to fully recover.

Thank you.Hope there will be no scars! I showed another electrologist there who said I was definitely overtreated and they should have used a different setting or even machine given the delicate skin in that area.It worried me because everyone has said that redness should not exceed more than a few hours or days at the most and cortisone didn’t help afterwards.

I just want to be able to go in for treatments on time and find someone who will not overdamage the area so that I can be comfortable in my own skin in between treatments.

I don’t know if you do this already but I would recommend using after care to speed up the healing process. After my first electrolysis session I didn’t use anything and ended up with scabs after just a few insertions which took about 2 weeks to heal with no scars. I now apply distilled witch hazel, tea tree oil and aloe vera in that order twice a day for three days after treatment and once a day after that and have had no scabbing at all just some swelling for up to 24 hours after treatment with the same electrologist doing my whole chin area. I was also told to avoid using hot water on the area for 24 hours as the area needs to recover from being overheated.
