verseo e-pen claims its permanent removal of hair just like the professional electrologists use…so has anyone else heard of it? you buy it and do it at your house in private…its been shown to be just as effective as professional electrolysis…
This product comes nowhere close to electrolysis. It is NOT permanent hair removal. It is a scam. Do not spend $60.
Conductive gel pads won’t work.

"E-Pen Hair Removal
The E-Pen sold by Elysse Electro is a home-use version of the doubtful “transdermal hair removal” method. It sends energy through an electrified Q-Tip type of cotton swab.
E-Pen should be avoided by all consumers.
This device has not shown any published clinical evidence it can work as claimed.
It is currently being promoted heavily on television through direct-response commercials.

Quack claims
The EasyTweeze is claimed to be “The painless solution (needle free*) for permanent hair removal.”

“Will I achieve permanent hair removal? In a word, YES!”
“EasyTweeze is the safe and painless way to permanent hair removal.”
“The E-Pen is as effective as professional electrolysis or laser hair removal methods.”
“E-Pen is the way to achieve permanent hair removal without damaging your skin or spending way too much money.”

i understand what you’re saying and all but what about the fact that it claims to use galvanic “electric tweezers uses safe galvanic energy and the principles of professional electrolysis” i know that usually i wouldn’t think twice about scams, but it was on HSN (home shopping network) and they give you 30 days guarantee as im sure you’re well aware, so i was just wondering as i’ve heard good things…not to sound like an idiot i know you guys on this site get questions about scams. well sorry for my stupidity but just making sure
Do you think the Emjoi Beauty can be modified with a needle
like the vector.
Be assured, no matter who sells it, the e-pen is still a scam.
The “Emjoi Beauty” can not be reasonably modified and is another scam.
Electric tweezers do not work, no matter how much false advertising tries to convince you otherwise. It’s all lies.
eroca,
We do have to repeat here a lot, but that is not your fault. It’s a big site and you can’t possibly know everything that has already been discussed. I apologize if I sounded curt, wasn’t meant to be that way. I did sign off my post with Love, Dee <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.
I wanted to stress that the search feature is a big help for the “new” many and Hairfacts.com is very helpful as a place to study hair removal options.
Now, a good principle to tuck away in your mind is, A metal probe must be introduced into a hair follicle to deliver the right amount of energy to tissue in order to permanently affect a growing hair, so it can’t grow anymore. What this product offers is actions taken on the surface of the skin. Hair can not conduct electricity or cause a chemical reaction with gels and pads smeared on it at the surface. Just can’t.
You are free to to give it a try though and report your experience back to members of hairtell. We always appreciate honest feedback.
Love,
Dee
Awww Dee thats ok i thought u sounded just fine, but i do know that i usually don’t fall for scams but i guess seeing that it was on HSN i lost it for a moment…maybe i was hoping against everything i already knew…well thanks for your prompt response and understanding and encouraging words, ur such a sweet heart! have a great day! best of luck to everyone!
a post i found on someone’s experience with this product, maybe it just takes patience…?
Works for me (Cindy, MN)

I have been using E-pen for 6 months now and it really works. I decided to use this product because after having expensive laser treatments completed everywhere on my legs except for a large tattooed area and since laser cannot be done on a tattoo, I was stuck with shaving just this small portion of my leg. Regular Electrolysis was too expense and time consuming but the large pads with the E-Pen work great. Since this worked so well on the legs, I have been using the E-Pen on the face area. The key is to be patient! With different hair growth cycles, it will take awhile to see the results.
why would people say this? i wish it worked? i havent tried it but i have it

Five starsThis Works!, July 2, 2006
Reviewer: mystic creature (California) - See all my reviews
I bought this thinking that it doesn’t hurt to try it. It is time consuming to use (but then so is electrolysis), but I have found that it works. The hair grows back thinner, but with regular use I found that this does eventually destroy the follicle. I found that using it often (2 to 3 times a week per the instructions) is better than using it on a more casual basis (once or twice a month). I like using it in the privacy of my own home.

Five starsThe Best Home Electrolysis I Ever Owned, September 30, 2004
Reviewer: Janet Ross (North Carolina) - See all my reviews
I have to admit, I was very skeptic about this product when I first bought it. Once I got it, I review the instruction and it was extremely thorough. It had so much information about hair growth cycles as well hair growth in general. It looks like this manufacturer is really an expert in this category. After following the instructions, and continued use I was able to destroy all hair follicles. The hair in the treated areas is gone forever!!!
I would highly recommend this product.
Why would people say this? Because what they observe is wishful thinking or perhaps there are people who are invested in this product making comments as if they were satisfied consumers. Any scammer knows there are useful idiots everywhere and they know which buttons to push to excite the hopeful to purchase their products.
If a probe is not used to deliver energy to the bottom part of the follicle, nothing will happen to affect (kill) a growing hair. The only exception to this is the heat from a quality laser can affect a change in some hair follicles so they never produce another hair again. Whereas, probe electrolysis by correct definitions and principles applied, can affect hair anywhere, any color, any thickness, on any color of skin.
I’m serious eroca, if you need to satisfy your curiosity, buy the E-Pen. Looks like you can return to Target, so that sounds like a no loser proposition. Just make sure you understand what their return policy is first.
Dee
I am pretty sure that the E-pen is excluded from return for the same reason the $75 Epi-lady was non-returnable. It is a “personal use product” that would technically require resterilization in order to contemplate resale.
