I haven’t heard anything good about any of these devices. The only “electrolysis” home use devices that work are ones where you need to use a NEEDLE. Patches and tweezers don’t give great results. I would give this one a miss. The OneTouch is $10 and is reliable, at least, if quite slow and labour intensive. If you really want to do home electrolysis you might want to invest in a better machine. But yeah, these “miracle cure” sort of patches have been known to actually burn people I wouldn’t trust it.
It is a scam, we’ve discussed it and similar “patch/pad” devices many times. Galvanic current is electric current. Hair doesn’t conduct electricity. It’s not the galvanic current itself that kills the hair anyway, it’s the lye that your follicle produces in response to the current when it’s very concentrated and intense. The lye fills your follicle and kills all the cells it touches. If the machine actually worked, then you’d have first degree chemical burns over the entire area that the pad touched. That is what happens in the follicle, but it isn’t visible because it’s beneath the skin. They claim that only the hair conducts the current, but this is scientifically not true. Skin conducts electricity, hair does not.
Galvanic machines are legit if they have a probe (like the One Touch or professional machines), but there are no functioning pad/patch devices (no matter how much conductive gel you use or how many electric tweezers they throw in) that have any effect on hair. It simply does not work. Sorry.
The link below will direct you to product users’ reviews on using the “Verseo ePen Electrolysis Hair Removal System”. This information maybe helpful to you since the “ePad” is apart of the same company and some of the same pads are in that system too. The “ePen” looks like it doesn’t get many good reviews, which would lead me to believe that the “ePad” probably would have the same reviews. I wouldn’t buy it.
I know you only wanted answers from people who have used the “ePad” product, but I haven’t and couldn’t find any reviews for those who have.
This device is pure flimflammery if you are seeking permanent hair removal. You might as well tweeze.
Hi,
I have just ordered one of these. About a year ago I tried one a friend had on my upper arm. I have lots of dark hair on my upper urns and back. Since I did the single treatment not one single black hair has grown back, only a few very small light hairs. Now I will say this surprised me a lot. Well now I know it works very well for me I have ordered it and plan to do my whole back and upper arms, have also ordered extra pads.
Really now…! For sure? Your whole back? ! By yourself? Are you Gumby? This is not an inspirational idea.
Lol, obviously I can’t do it myself, this is where my wife comes in. And seeing as I have had excellent results, why not!! Better then doing it with something that is quicker but won’t give as good results. And considering it will probably cost me around $400 all up including extra pads, fairly cheep if you ask me
“I have lots of dark hair on my upper urns [sic] and back. Since I did the single treatment not one single black hair has grown back, [after the said year] only a few very small light hairs.”
And, you got this result with your “Galvanic pad?” Gosh, not even laser or electrolysis can deliver these “one time” results. Oh you got these results? Yeah sure you did!
So many “nice” people here on Hairtell that WON’T speak the truth … but I will: Dude, you are as big a fraud as the device. (Could it be you are the company?)
Music: “Money makes the world go around, the world go around … ”
Mate,
You wouldn’t know who I am, Yeah right you speek the truth hey, I have no idea who you are, more then likely just another keyboard warrior who talks big behind his key board. I’m just telling the results I got. If you want to see the results first hand and maybe talk face to face I am in Karratha, Australia. When you get here let me know and we can catch up, see if ya talk ya type.
So in other words don’t say something about some one you don’t know, if ya want to call me a fraud you can come along and say it to my face and I sure as hell not the company.
This product defies the principles of science for what is needed to “kill” the hair permanently. Hairtell exists for the hair consumer and a big part of what many of us do here, is to run pass interference for the consumer who is about to spend money, get their hopes up, only to lose their money, lose more hope, to be no better off than when they started. We are very committed and yes, defiant at times, to expose such useless devices. If you want to use this and share your happiness, you are FREE to do so. We, as hair removal specialists, are FREE to caution the consumer on such nonsense. There are two modalities that remove or reduce hair permanently - electrolysis (the grand old grandma) and laser (her granddaughter).
I would say, there is no chance that you will come back here in two years max, AFTER YOU STOP USING this product and report you are hair free.
Have a good day, Mate.
Well, who are “we?” ha ha ha … between Dee and me that’s probably 50 years of intense (scientifically based) hair removal experience. WE have seen it all! As Dee says (in less accusative terms than I use) … we are trying to protect the consumer here on Hairtell. These DC-pad things have been foisted on the public since 1975 and they are one of the BEST cosmetic frauds on the market. You say … “hair free after a year of one treatment with this thing?” Well, that didn’t happen. And, you would like to “fight me?” Yeah, that is soooooo Aussie! Let’s see, where’s my Akubra? (I have one too!)
Um sorry I can’t remember saying I wanted to be hair free. I’m just saying this product reduced the amount of hair that was originally there to a standard I was happy with. I understand there is a lot of crap products and so called professional services being sold out there and I can’t say it will work for everyone, just that it did for me.
That’s all I’m saying, it defiantly reduced my hair growth in the area I used it. The dark hair hasn’t grown back and there are only shorter blonde hairs in that area now for a year.
I just thought this was a forum where I could get good information and intelligent advise or share an experience in the subject… But Aparantly not so.
Well thanks anyway
Thank you for your comments, Chisel.
Holy bloody hell mate, you have a stick up ya clacker!!! Fight you!!! When was that mentioned by me. You call yourself a professional.
So far you have called me an akubra wearing fraud who as a typical Aussie who wants to fight you. You could have easily gave me your opinion without being a dick about it
Ahahahaha, akubra, yeah we all wear em over here, oh well at least I got a laugh
And not once did I say HAIR FREE.
Mate … thanks for the great laugh … I’m just having some fun with you. Since my old lifeguard days … the second some body says “Australian,” my funny side kicks in. During the days we competed with the guys from Melbourne we always played tricks on each other and had the old “stick” thing going on. Actually, I wear my Akubra daily and I’m proud of it. Australia is my second favorite place in the world (next to that other tiny island off shore).
Since you aren’t the business end of the DC-thing … well, at least be warned: the thing is not going to work for you. I apologize for being “mean-spirited” but I have this “baloney meter” built in and I’m not very good about not speaking my mind: Yes, a “yank” kind of thing.
Yeah no worries mate, sorry I got my back up so quick. It’s just this whole hair removal thing is doing my head in. Have been trying to get info on the subject for ages now but keep hitting brick walls every turn I take, just can’t seem to get a definitive answer on what actually works the best, all I seem to come across is people pretty much trying their hardest to sell or promote their product or service.
Now I will say this epad thing when I first saw it my first impression was what a crock!! But it did work on the one patch I did and it was to my amazement. In saying this I will see how it goes this time and let you know, my hopes arnt that high but will see what happens. If it doesn’t work, well that will suck!!
If it didn’t work then what happens to the hair in that spot?
I remember the exact spot because it was just on the edge of my tattoo, wanted to test it their to make sure it didn’t damage the tattoo. It’s got me stuffed.
Maybe it’s the type of hair growth? I didn’t get all the back hair till I was around 25, just suddenly showed up, maybe that’s a factor.
Will let you know what happens anyway.
Hi. I have that machine, and it worked for me. Well it worked perfectly on my sideburn areas. The hair never grew back on my left side, but 1or 2 hairs grow on the right side. On the upper lips and chin, it didn’t take quite so well. It only helped the hair grow back back finer thinner on the upper lip.
However, on the chest area, it worked really well too.
I don’t know how it works, but it did…for me.
