Vascular birth mark and laser hair removal?

Hi,
I have a question that I am going to ask the laser tech, but I’m going to ask here first.

On my left leg, I have a vascular birthmark that looks rather like a rash and consists of little visible capillaries. I have really no interest in removing this birthmark, but will getting laser hair removal “burn” these birthmarks some how? I don’t want that!

What color is it? If it’s red, laser won’t see it. If it’s dark, you should cover it up with something white.

It is red, so it doesn’t have any melanin in it, right? then I should be OK. :smiley:

Laser doesn’t “see” red I believe.
