Urgent First Time Electrolysis Results

I just had my first well second treatment back to back one hour session in the span of two weeks.

After reading through the forums is seems as if I may not be getting effective treatment. After this first treatment I already have significant regrowth which she said was normal and just need to be cleaned up a little. What I’m worried about is the type of bumps that have formed and weather this type of regrowth is normal.

Also I feel a very minimal amount of pain I could honestly fall asleep. I told her I could handle more but she said the machine said that was the correct setting.

I would love for this to be the solution I’ve been looking for. I’m now 21 and have been bother by unwanted hair my whole life.

Any Insight is greatly appreciated

Thanks!!

P.S. Have another appointment Saturday

Hey,

The first question you should ask any electrologist (or laser tech for that matter) is: “How many men’s (fill in the blank) have you completed?” A real number here, not: “Oh I do this all the time.”

With that answer, you then ask: “How many hours, on average, did this take to complete the task.” Again, real hours here … not, “Oh it took about a year.” “A year” is no answer; you want HOURS. (See, you could do 4 hours in the year or 500 hours in a year. You pay for HOURS, not elapsed time.)

It’s nearly impossible for a client to assess a treatment by looking at their skin, so don’t even try. After only two treatments, you don’t have a clue as to what’s going on. After two weeks, you don’t have regrowth either … unless (God forbid) it’s the dreaded “instant regrowth." In which case “run for the hills." (You can search back in Hairtell to find out about “instant regrowth” and what it looks like.)

Get to it and ask a few real questions … and get some real answers. Those treatment hours can pile up fast and you can be out some significant change.

I just examined your photos and it DOES look like there’s a “shaved” blunt hair in the post-electrolysis bump." This is THE classic sign of “instant regrowth”(I think … pretty sure, but don’t want to jump to conclusions).

I will say that the area you are doing is notorious for “instant regrowth” for a couple of reasons: 1) the electrologist thinks the area is painful and uses too little current, 2) the hairs are at an oblique angle and often missed (bad insertion).

Discuss this with your zapperette on Saturday. From my point of view, it’s not looking good.

Thanks for the response!

I was suspicious from the beginning as she is new(less then a year experience don’t even know if she even treated a male lol). The lady that use to own the place retired after working for 30years. The only bad thing is she’s the only electrologists in the area. Im thinking Columbus is the closet place which is 2hr drive may be worth it though.

Just some added info theres seems to be two follicles growing out of most pores could this be a cause or make me a non candidate for treatment?

Not rare at all: typical body hair “follicle units” have 2, 3 and even more follicles growing in a tight little clump. Of course, every patient thinks that they’re “odd” and have too many hairs in the same spot. But they are not … it’s only “human.” Normal.

Non-candidate? Certainly not! Actually, an easy case by most standards.

Agree with everything Michael has said.

Have you considered laser for your chest and neck?
