Upper cheek hair. What to do?

I shave my face every few days but have noticed for a few years now that I get hair growing very high up my face just below my eyes. Realizing this isn’t especially normal, I purposely haven’t shaved this region and have plucked hairs when they’ve become long and dark. However, I’m getting pretty tired of doing it and would prefer just to shave the region away. Is this advisable or is it just going to grow back as stubble and look even worse?

Ah, no, please, please don’t tweeze your facial hair. Shaving is better and shaving is not the culprit for increased hair growth. Even though shaving is a better temporary measure for your facial hair, it’s the stubble that gets you down. And yes, of course, it’s going to grow back.

Are you male or female and how old are you? How long have you been tweezing? Tweezing facial hair can eventually cause the hair to become better nourished and result in bigger, deeper, darker hair on the face.

If you are just starting with facial hair concerns, electrolysis will permanently free you of the hair you have now. You may have to have treatments in the future if what ever is causing unwanted, noticable hair growth now, doesn’t subside. Possible causes could be heredity at work, it could be weight gain or extreme weight loss or fluctuations of both, could be caused by stress and certain medications. It would be helpful to discover what’s going on internaly because electrolysis can only treat the side effect - HAIR - not the cause.

I would hate to see you pursue tweezing or waxing on your face as this could make things worse for future removal. Shaving is okay if you can live with stubble.

You only have to shave every few days? What I wouldn’t give for that! By noon I have a “5 o’clock shadow”.

Now to your question- just shave it, I’ve been shaving that hair high on my cheekbones for years.
