Hello all! I have search the board for info on becoming an electrologist, and a lot of the info is pre-pandemic, and from countries outside of the USA. I am interested in current information.
As we know, a LOT changed after the pandemic, and I can tell even in the electrologist charges around here in southeastern Virginia. There is a lack of professionals around here, and they charge $120 an hour…that psychologist money!:} I want to do it because I have had such a journey in my hair removal story, which is still being written… and I want to help other people, but also it seems to be flexible hours and lucrative here.
Any updated info on what it takes to become one in an unlicensed state, what the income potential is, and how hard is it on your body? I am 54 years old.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I’ve been teaching electrolysis since 1996 and we are about to launch a completely online training program. I’d love to have a zoom meeting with you to discuss and I can answer any questions you might have. I’m 61 years old and I’ve been an electrologist 35 years. I still work over 12 hours a day with no issues.
Sorry. My contact info is jenniferd@jadeclinics.com and you can watch me work on utube at Jade clinics.
Thank you Jade! I really appreciate it and I just checked out one of your videos…very cool!
I’m meeting with my own electrologist Wednesday and getting more information because she will possibly be able to let me shadow her. But if that doesn’t work out, or if I need additional information …including the online school, I will reach out to you.
