Hi all. I just had 2 consultations with 2 different ladies and loved them both so I thought I’d share my findings.
First one:

She is a sweet, sweet lady. She utilizes all three methods of electrolysis and likes to try all three out to see how your skin reacts to each. She explains everything the first time and does a treatment for as long as you wish, usually about 40 minutes. Then she will book for usually an hour at a time. She seems to be very fast as in 40 minutes she really thinned out my chin, almost cleared. I only felt handful of “tweezes” but she explained it was because that hair was in the resting stage. My skin had a few red bumps afterwards that went away in about an hour, and the next day I had 3-5 TINY red dots on one side, and a white head on the other, that cleared in another day. She is a talker and it makes the time fly by. The only drawback with me is she is almost an hour away from me and she is kind of pricey. The 40 minutes cost me $53.50 and an hour is $73 (those prices include tax).
Second one:

Again, another great lady. She has been an electrolgist for 19 years. She does blend because she has a higher kill rate with this and hence less regrowth. She didn’t explain electrolysis to me since I already had the basic knowledge from my other consultation, but, she did explain how her machine works. Her machine (I apologize, I cannot remember the name) has a nice cooling tip which takes some of the sting out. She does several hairs at once, stops, removes the hair, and goes again. She stopped to show me how my skin would react (like little mosquito bites for about an hour) just so I would know and wouldn’t be concerned. She uses 100X magnification with halogen lights in which case she gave me goggles to put on since it’s BLINDING! This lady is also VERY fast. In 30 minutes she cleared my cheeks (just a few strays, but more than I could see) and one side of my chin COMPLETELY. I am going to go to her since she is half the distance and half the cost. Her cost is $40 per hour and she likes to block off 2 hours at first to get you to your first clearance ASAP. AGain, she is a talker so time just FLY’S by and she likes to stop and explain any new sensation to you.
