Treatments..

Okay I am new here. I am a 27 year old female and my area of concern is my chin. I finally went to my first electrolysis appt yesterday and I want some feedback. I went for a 1/2 hour appt and only had work done on my chin. My question is when I got home most of the hair was gone but there were still some stray hairs that were still there? Does this happen sometimes. I was hoping to leave there with all of the hair on my chin gone (at least for now)
I have to say when I got home and saw the remaining hair I was extremely tempted to tweeze…

Just let them know you want all of them gone next time you go in. Maybe they just did not have enough time?

who chose the 30 mins appt? did you have an option to extend the appt to get all the hairs? just shave them for now and go back in next week to get everything there. make sure to mention that you want everything gone.

From your statement, that is was your first visit, it sounds like the half hour appointment may have been an initial consult, and not a full electrolysis session. Is this what the appointment really was?

No this was a full 30 minute treatement. I went in for my consultation the week before.

It might have been then, that the electrolgist might not have seen the stray hairs at the time that the hairs were being removed. Lighting and magnification are a big factor in being able to see the hairs. Also there is a muscle that can extend or retract a hair in a very short time frame. It very well may have been the the electrologist just did not see those hairs that you later were able to see at home.
