Treatment with Comet

Hi,
I want to start a treatment for hair removal in my back/chest. I’m quite light skinned and have black an quite thick hair.
I got recommendations on a place near my home. The thing is that they use Comet there and I saw not-so-enthusiastic opinions on it.
Can you please tell me if it’s really not recommended to use it, and why?
I read in one response that there’s a better way to use the Comet - can you say a few words on that?

Thanks!!!

Comet is not recommended. It is a diode laser with RF. The RF part is nothing special. A good laser, like an alexandrite variety is the best if used on pale skin with thick, coarse hair. Laser hair stimulation is a possiblity for the upper back, shoulders and upper arms on a man. THe chest responds pretty well if you are a good candidate and you have a good laser tech.

You would be serving yourself well if you did a search here on hairtell. If others don’t respond soon, then type in, ‘comet’ and read away.

This is not a great machine. Who recommended it? There are hundreds of clinics. Have consultations at at least 4-6 clinics before you decide on any one. And before you even go for consultation, please read the FAQs here and figure out what laser type is BEST for YOUR situation. This isn’t a one-fits-all solution and you shouldn’t jump on the first clinic and machine you hear about if you want results for your money. Also, experience of the tech is very important. It’s about setting the settings correctly, not just using the right machine.
