Could someone provide me with a referral of an electrologist that they saw success with! I’m still looking for someone reputable, I have yet to find someone that hasn’t plucked the hairs away. Errr!!
Any suggestions will help =)

I do not have a personal experience with electrologists in Toronto but these three places have Zeiss microscope. Maybe they will be better?

Thanks anyways! but I have been to two out of three of those places. The only one I haven’t gone to is Sarah Shrigley, and mainly because she takes appointments 3 months in advance, and doesn’t have enough time to clear large areas. The other two one was extremely slow!! and the other I felt lots of plucking =(
Hey, i know sarah very well and yes, she’s great, but she has slowed down considerably. So she is definitely not a good bet for large areas anymore.
There is also elizabeth ann, you can pm me for her info.
I’ve been the Tao clinic and i didn’t have good results there although i have to say i defected back to Sarah quite quickly so maybe if i had stuck it out.
Ya I called Elizabeth ann but apparently she has medical issues that she isn’t taking any clients.
If you have any other suggestions, let me know!
Unfortunately, I don’t. I’ve been to many places over the years and Sarah was the best, and Elizabeth Ann was good as well. Everyone else was completely useless.
In fact, Sarah told me to start doing the few hairs I have left myself using galvanic or blend because she couldn’t accommodate my requests for long appointments.
So I bought myself an Apilus and away I go! (After much study and persistent questioning of Sarah and Elizabeth Ann over the years of course!)
I have been going to Victoria at Bay Street Clinic for a few weeks now. Done my chest, stomach twice, and lower back. While it’s too soon to judge results and what not, I can say she’s incredibly fast doing like 15-17 hairs per minute. She cleared my stomach in 30 minutes which was $45 per 30 mins. I’ve been happy with her so far, mainly because of how fast she is. Send me a PM and I can prob get you a referral coupon for $20 for your first session.
You’ve gotten clearances? Do you feel plucking when she does the removal? and also has the hair grown back? Just want a good understanding before I make an appointment lol
Well like I said I’ve only gone 3 times and that was like 3 weeks ago so can’t really judge is all, but each time we would remove every single hair in the area so I’d be smooth. None of that hair has come back of course. There’s a slight plucking feeling sometimes but it’s not painful and doesn’t feel like tweezing or anything. Like if I was to take tweezers and pluck a hair out right now it would hurt like crazy and have tons of resistance. This still pops out really easily, it feels almost more like the root is bigger than the opening and its popping out.
This is what I’m unsure about-the plucking. I sometimes feel plucking, but when I ask they say its resistance. But I thought it wasn’t suppose to hurt? But anyways, thanks for the recommendation. Is Victoria an older lady? I spoke to someone who sounded a bit older.
Yeah she’s older but has been doing it for like 30 years or something, I don’t know let me know how it goes.
Bay Street Clinic plucks for sure. I’m sure you’ll find your hair growing back very soon. I tried them out and I didnt notice a significant reduction in growth.
Sarah really is the only game in town, believe me.
Sarah doesn’t work long periods of time, and has a waiting list that I cannot wait for. So unfortunately I will not be able to use her. I found a place called Brierly Electrolysis? I made an appointment next week. Hopefully this will be a winner!
I know what you mean. I think I was lucky that the bulk of my work was done 10 years ago.
Sarah’s usually good with offering referrals when she can’t take a client, that’s how i found out about Elizabeth Ann. She must know someone else who has good technique. There is a pair of sisters in North York who are also supposed to be good. I can’t remember their names though. I think Elizabeth Ann told me about them so maybe if this Brierly doesn’t work out…
Good luck!
Unfortunately, Sarah Shrigley is no longer in business. Any more recommendations for a Toronto or GTA based electrologist?
I think I may have mentioned this elsewhere, but Rea from follikill.com I’ve recommended before. She’s a well regarded professional who I’ve consulted with before and contributed to her informative blog, so not someone I’ve gotten treatment from, but only heard good things about.
I would recommend Janet.
