Too much face hair

Hello everyone,

I would like to know if my hairs are treatable or not because i have already had 2 appointments for my eyebrows (contour) and between each eyebrows but i don’t see any difference.

I mean after an appointment it’s fine and i’m happy with the result but 1 month after everything is just like before.

I have horrible vellus hairs on my ears and upper cheeks, how many hours should i do before they left.

Here some pics for a better understanding :

Thanks you

Read up a little more about hair cycles  You’ve only had two appointments so far - it takes time! If you were doing ANY hair removal before you started your appointments (taking hair off at the skin like shaving, or taking the hair out by the root like waxing) the process takes more time and you tend to see many more hairs appearing, as those hairs start growing. The hair you are seeing is just hair from a different cycle.

Facial hair tends to be especially tricky. You never realise how many hairs you have! Give it more time, and more sessions.

Also, why are you getting the vellus hair removed on your cheeks? If you’re not getting your beard removed by electrolysis, why not just shave that area when you shave your beard?

Everyone has vellus hairs on their ears; start noticing. To actually remove all those “millions of hairs” is nearly impossible and will take you forever. Don’t do it. Furthermore, those vellus hairs help diffuse sunlight and somewhat protect your ears from future skin cancers.

Those fine hairs on the upper cheeks? I would not remove those either. As you get into your 30s they will, in most cases, seem to disappear anyway. This area is prone to “funny” post-treatment anomalies that eventually go away but will probably cause you more concern than the hairs.

Be SUPER careful on any “shaping” of your eyebrows. Actually, in the photo, they look great. Yes, “zap” the stragglers in the middle, but “arching” the eyebrows is a fatal mistake on a man. (Eyebrows thin-out as you age too.) Generally, eyebrows require MANY treatments (short duration).

I would, at this point, only work on the middle of your brows, get it perfect … the way you want it … then do some serious thinking about the other areas. But hold off for now.

(Note: So, is this post acceptable and approved Seana? tee hee)

Thanks for your responses,

For the vellus hair, can i atleast wax them once a month ? I’m 21 years old, you say my upper cheek hairs are going to disappear ? For the eyebrows, i would like to shape them because i don’t like the way they are, when i went out the session the shape was very good but everything has regrown. Do you think i should continue or it’s fighting a losing battle ? i mean how much session would i need more ?

Thanks

Hey,

Happy to help out!

I wouldn’t wax your ears. Waxing can increase the size of the hairs and then you’d have a problem that everybody sees?

Again, be super-careful with your brows: don’t get them too perfect and certainly not “arched.” Get a bunch of opinions … especially from women; and trust what they’re telling you! Women are good at this!

I’m assuming you are not tweezing your eyebrows and that’s good for the electrologist. I would guess that no more than 7 - 10 short treatments would be all you need. There are a “gazillion” hairs in the eyebrows!

I did a little “Photoshopping” to show you what not to do to your eyebrows, (my opinion of course).

This might look okay to you, but after some time you could regret this over-groomed look. You might make the brows somewhat thinner, but don’t create a perfect line at the bottom (or top). Too perfect would be too feminizing.

Hi, a little update i’ve been to a session last wednesday for the pubic area and she did some hairs on the eyebrows but it’s so painful, on the middle the pain was tolerable but on the extremity it’s hurt so much plus i felt plucking when she zapping them. Do you have some tips to accelerate the healing of scabs ?

Thanks you

PS : michael i agree with you, on your photoshoping the right eyebrow is too thin.
