As it is, my treatment is expensive enough (front/back of neck, entire back, upper arms, buttocks) @ about $700 a session. It’s not like a haircut, but I notice there are little gratuity envelopes on their counter and in the treatment room. I just never bothered asking b/c they will probably say, “you can tip if you like”. It was never part of my quote, but I’d just like to know is it customary to tip the technician doing your laser treatment each time???
it’s not customary. it’s normally treated as a medical procedure, like a cosmetic procedure with a doctor etc. you can always ask, but I feel this procedure is expensive enough and it’s medical procedure, which normally you don’t tip for.

If they are very good, and I get very good results, I tip.
For example, if a Lightsheer technician knows what they are doing and use compression, then I would tip them. If they don’t, no tip!

I think it wouldn’t become customary if we as consumers won’t make is customary by opting to do it without anyone asking <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Again, I think it is best if we put a link to the main discussion of this subject in this thread.
