Hello,
I started electrolysis 2 month ago, and i don’t know if I continue !!!
I don’t know If what I am seeing on my skin is normal or not (tiny holes get red after shower) Those pictures are after 1 week treatment !!!
Can anyone help ? I need to decide if I change technician or not Thanks a lot !!!
It’s just fine.
Now the explanation. Imagine that the destroyed follicle rapidly fills with collagen fibers (actually called “wound collagen”). These fibers don’t allow for much movement; sort of like tough strands of “rope.” Now, imagine that the normal skin reaction from electrolysis is redness and swelling (this must happen for healing to take place). Also, the skin just treated is very thin with bone just below (very little fat).
Okay, the strand of collagen will not stretch much. The skin must swell and the skin is very thin … so there is no place for the swelling to go, except “UP.” In effect you have a little doughnut of swelling that appears (at this moment) like a hole: swollen skin around a strand of tough collagen.
All of this will go away as the skin heals. Not to worry, I see this all the time in this area.
Thanks a lot for your fast and clear explanation !!!
I feel better now and I am glad that I joined this forum !!!
Thanks again
