I found this site/page that describes what happens with ingrown hairs.
In the end it says that the body creates “a wall of fibrous tissue” around a ingrown, curled, hair that hasn’t been removed from inside the skin.
I have seen this on my shoulders were I can feel hard bumps.
I also have one on my arm and it’s impossible the see the hair and I’ve tried to dig in to it with a steril needle but can’t find the hair.
These were bigger before…but will they ever completely dissappear if you can’t dig out the hair?
