Thinking About Removing My Beard – Electrolysis?

I’m thinking about removing my beard completely. I keep having problems when I shave. When I use an electric razor I have fewer issues, but I get extremely dry skin. I never want to grow a beard. I would like to keep my moustache, because I’m afraid it would look strange otherwise, and I don’t have any problems there.

I’m thinking about electrolysis. What do you think?

You can always take away but it’s difficult to put back. I thought I wanted to do that a long time ago and I’m glad I never went through with it. I’ve had the facial hair shaped and I’m pleased with how it looks.

I agree that men should think very carefully with any permanent reduction or removal on beard hair. If the problem is razor burn, ingrown hairs and dry skin, there are methods and products you can use to solve for that without going through many hours of electrolysis. A safety or electric razor, followed by a cream with salicylic acid and urea plus regular moisturising will probably be enough to keep your problems in check.
