So I’ve been getting laser treatments since april. At first it wasn’t working too well. I had them change settings and its a lot better but still not great. I’m currently getting work done with a candela yag laser. So the technician had to reschedule my appointment cause she said they were getting a new laser that day. I’m just like, uh oh. I have no idea what kind it is yet. I hope my treatments don’t get worse than what they are now. lol I’m not surprised they’re getting a new laser. I remember some conversations with the technicians and they said some patients had had spotty treatments and whatnot. I don’t think its the laser. I think its them. Like I said before I had them change the settings and treatments changed a lot. A LOT more hair loss. sigh If they only learned how to use the machine properly then they wouldn’t be trying a new one.
You should ask what machine they’re getting. You’re a customer and have the right to know (and to ask for a refund and go elsewhere if it’s not what you signed up for).
What settings have they been using?
And you’re correct. Missed spots is their fault, not the laser’s. This machine has the largest spot size on the market at 18mm.
I had an appointment with the new laser today. I saw it said Light sheer duet on it. Well, in 3 weeks we’ll see if I get good results or not.
That’s the new LightSheer diode with a large spot size. If they know how to use it, it should be good.
She said I’m between type 3 and 4 as far as skin type. She actually used both handpieces. The small handpiece seemed to work better. I saw a lot more redness when she used that one. The large suction handpiece was weird. Its funny, I was too skinny for it to work in some areas. She had to like push my skin together so it could get a good grip.
